Habu Kit-77 meanders away…

My anxiety deepened at the completion of each section. I needed to finish the back and a major part of one front panel to understand the construction and see it take form. I needed to mould the stainless steel, play with it, shape it. I needed to consider the overall length and where to begin the cotton section.

I really needed to try it on instead of attempting to visualise the outcome from a schematic diagram.

Once I joined the front and back panels, it became apparent… and so I ripped back [not the easiest of tasks when it comes to stainless steel] and started again. Then, due to some basic modifications, I ran out of cotton… just before the sleeves…

As I wait for the post to arrive [and continue to tweak and measure], I find myself thinking of what to knit next, and my mind goes back to another Habu kit, kit-70, in lavender grey… for me, this time…
