These ancient kings are represented here in the cathedral of Rippon, Yorkshire. I note that they are "overlooked" by a man of the cloth ! I thought that they all looked quite resplendent...almost like new.

The Matunuska river flows below this pointy iconic peak on it's way to the Cook Inlet.
"Kings Mountain, also commonly called King Mountain, is a prominent 5,809-foot (1,771 m) elevation mountain summit located 22 mi (35 km) northeast of Palmer, in the northwestern Chugach Mountains of the U.S. state of Alaska.[2] This landmark of the Matanuska Valley is set between Anchorage and Glennallen, at mile 75 of the Glenn Highway.
The mountain was named after Al King, a prospector who had a cabin nearby at the confluence of Kings River and Matanuska River."
Welcome to December!
All good things must come to an end and so it is with my series on Waterfalls captured on my Autumn adventure into the North of Ontario. For those still interested in seeing more from this trip I will be posting other landscape scenes throughout the winter on my photo page and groups. The scene depicted here is the view down the chutes of King’s Falls near North Frontenac Ontario captured in my now favorite waterfall shutter speed range. I wish all a safe Happy Holiday period and Hopefully a better New Year than last as for my photo shooting friends wishing you all great light and interesting skies.
I took this on Sept 29, 2021 with my D850 and Tamron 24-70 f2.8 G2 Lens at 29mm, 1/30s, f11 ISO 64 processed in LR, PS +Topaz ,and DXO
Disclaimer: My style is a study of romantic realism as well as a work in progress
A lovely flower display, seen here on a walk. Hard times for this industry at present and I hope it recovers in 2021.
The immense roof of Kings Cross Station in London seems to go on forever, as it once housed the mighty steam trains during the industrial revolution and beyond.
Glorious regeneration of Kings Cross Station - main entrance with the magnificent ceiling structure.
Working trip in London today. Experimented in the evening but no tripod so had to improvise using the top of a bin for this one. Lots of people waiting at the crossings so a few ghost people in view.

Kings College in Cambridge at sunrise. The sun rises behind the Chapel at this time of year and on a day with high thin clouds you get a sunrise like this above. It pays to wake up eairly.

Re-edit of an old favorite from Kings River Falls. 1/28/12. One of my first days of waterfall chasing. I've been there several times since this day and there has yet to be as much water as there was on this visit.
Been messing around with a trial version of Topaz Labs Adjust. This one is the "black rose" preset. It about knocked me over when I clicked on it. Minor adjustments in Lightroom CC.

SRNJ 100 crosses Kings Highway in Swedesboro shortly after departing the Conrail interchange. The crew has settled in for a long, slow ride to Salem with four loads in tow. The Salem Branch has since been upgraded with government assistance and is now operated by SMS Rail Lines.

A blustery autumnal Kings How looking down to Castle Crag and the Borrowdale Valley.
The light was fleeting with clouds blowing through quickly on a strong wind. I didn't get many autumnal shots this year in the Lakes, with being away and the season shot by to be replaced by bare trees and icy conditions.
This was taken after an early morning meet up on the shores of Derwentwater with Mark Newman. We later made our way up here in the hope of some light on this wonderful landscape, but we didn't get much of that in the end.
This was a brief interlude with the rays of light bringing a bit of life to this view. Mark was taking shots the other way, with the great view down over Derwentwater to Keswick and Skiddaw. Sadly we didn't see the top of Skiddaw all day!
