These ancient kings are represented here in the cathedral of Rippon, Yorkshire. I note that they are "overlooked" by a man of the cloth ! I thought that they all looked quite resplendent...almost like new.

The Matunuska river flows below this pointy iconic peak on it's way to the Cook Inlet.

"Kings Mountain, also commonly called King Mountain, is a prominent 5,809-foot (1,771 m) elevation mountain summit located 22 mi (35 km) northeast of Palmer, in the northwestern Chugach Mountains of the U.S. state of Alaska.[2] This landmark of the Matanuska Valley is set between Anchorage and Glennallen, at mile 75 of the Glenn Highway.

The mountain was named after Al King, a prospector who had a cabin nearby at the confluence of Kings River and Matanuska River."

Working trip in London today. Experimented in the evening but no tripod so had to improvise using the top of a bin for this one. Lots of people waiting at the crossings so a few ghost people in view.

Re-edit of an old favorite from Kings River Falls. 1/28/12. One of my first days of waterfall chasing. I've been there several times since this day and there has yet to be as much water as there was on this visit.

Been messing around with a trial version of Topaz Labs Adjust. This one is the "black rose" preset. It about knocked me over when I clicked on it. Minor adjustments in Lightroom CC.
