Throughout Jerusalem's history, the three religions of the book (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) have competed to dominate the skyline. Currently, Islam holds the title since the Dome of the Rock outshines all other monuments. Non-muslim visitors are only allowed on the grounds during certain hours and are no longer allowed inside do to Jewish extremists praying in the temple. This temple is the site where Mohammed flew into the sky. It also holds signifcance to Jews and Christians and was one the site of the "Third Temple". Some Jews want to tear it down and rebuild this "Third Temple".
