This is old but I didn't like anything that I shot today.
I'm so lazy I can't handle it. I didn't even try and shoot again.
But on the bright side, my relationship is Facebook official?

One of my least favorite things about visiting Canada is returning to the States... On the way home from Vancouver there are two options, the Peace Arch crossing, or the Truck Crossing. There is also a sign that displays the projected waiting times for each crossing helping you to choose which way you would like to go... This time there was a 2 hour wait at Peace Arch and ONLY a 50 minute wait at the Truck crossing.... so the choice seemed obvious, right?
Don't trust the signs! We waited nearly two and a half hours to cross, and it was awful! But that time spent waiting did give me the opportunity to create this, which I suppose is good!
At least when I finally did talk to the border patrol agent he was quick and I was through in about a minute.

the sheraton boston, room 2961. 10:30am.
- i am super hungover and want to die. we partied at the paradise lounge on commonwealth and then back at the barbarian offices. i smoked some pot, got way too high, and had to leave around 4am.
- was pretty sick all day and then had to take the party bus back to nyc where i met my mother, who took the train up for a visit.
- had an early dinner at l'atelier in the four seasons. it was delicious but i was too hungover to enjoy it, but i was making a comeback!
- then jennie met us, i took some liquid advil, and we partied back in my mom's room until midnight or so. my mom got a great room with a terrace overlooking 57 st and we were out on it when it started snowing!!
-slept like a rock.
This is an actual spam email I just received.
These Captcha-like messages are a response to the development of OCR image-to-text plugins for spam filters, but is this even 0.001% effective? I can barely read the stock symbol they're promoting.
Nigel jumped up on the blocking mats while I was pinning my new Ishbel shawl, and apparently his nails caught in the yarn as I shooed him off. I didn't immediately realize, and carried on pinning -- thus pulling the break apart beyond immediate repair. I'll have to rip back to the stockingette portion and reknit the whole thing.
I'm so freaked out right now that I'm shaking. I can't be mad at Nigel, because he didn't realize what he was doing. I'm more mad at myself for not noticing immediately. My flat is so tiny that I have limited space to pin out an eight-foot-wide shawl, which is why I was blocking on the futon, but obviously that's not going to work in future.
Crap. I think I might cry. Probably 700 yards of sock-weight yarn, and I have to reknit.
This will be a reocurring theme through my 365 day project. Sigh. My T-shirt says "I'm Blogging This."
Chillaxin at the Dallas/Fort-Worth airport during a 3 hour layover.
You see, my mom and I are on our way to Lexington, Kentucky. It's a vacation hot spot.... not really.
You see, my granddmother lives in the back of beyond Kentucky (take a right past the old johnson place, go left at the fork over the crick, up the hill towards the old mash seller's place, and back behind the big red barn. Make sure you holler up real loud. Cousin Billy carries a shot gun and he's a might bit trigger happy.)
At least she will live there for 3 more days.
We are headed out there to pack up her farmhouse (again, this would be round FOUR in the last 10 years) and move her one final time -- This next week will consist of packing and then driving both an SUV full of cats and dogs in crates and my 78 year old luekemia suffering slightly senile grandmother OR driving a 14 foot U-Haul -- across the country back to Phoenix, Arizona.
I have plans to do a thorough documentation of the entire trip. If I can keep from barfing during the flying portion.
i keep hoping that this is a playground for blind kids, otherwise the miserable urchins will grow up thinking these are sensible colour combinations.
If somebody invented time travel I would go back in time and kill this hair. and glasses. and probably the shirt too
:(
This is what i get for running around the river without any shoes on. Lame. It's been almost two weeks and the shit still itches. lame lame lame
This is me losing my mind after a perfect girls shopping day & lunch in Kingston with the friend who's staying with us for a few days. When we headed home we went to the 401 and ended up in a traffic jam to beat all traffic jams. A drive that would normally have taken 45 minutes took FOUR hours. Thanks, high speed chase over contraband cigarettes. haha.
Things to remember:
-the sesame seed
-the trucker we befriended
-the guys in the windowless Jeep
-Mrs Field's cookies
-the fruit stands
-the Voyageur in front of us (especially it's ladder!)
-the lady putting cream on her legs
-the lady who refused to make eye contact with us
-the motorcycle who followed the ambulance until they told him to f-off
-house hunting
-our very different tastes
-Sirius radio - all 80s all the time
-finishing up with the small talk and getting into the real nitty gritty
-the Garmin
-the sunroof
Couldn't think of a better person to be stuck in traffic with.
It's the first day of summer and already I've had enough of this sun. I can only take so many consecutive days of 90+ degrees of humid heat. This is getting ridiculous.
Left: "I don't know who these two in the middle are..."
Right: "I'm so sick of these two idiots... kill me now."
Middle: "lulz"
I fricking hate pain. I've been knocked out with a migraine headache for the last couple days. The computer screen hurts my head, I'll be back tomorrow. At least my manicure looks nice.
we played gin rummy for about 2 hours. I won. by a LOT.
the light was pretty -- how it bounced off the back of the seat in front of her and hit her just right.
Imma light whore.
We knew that already.
thick pipes covered in thick paint. i grew up on a farm and this crap is alien to me - i just can't see how this could amuse anyone, let alone some half-witted, malevolent child.
our second leg of the trip was from Dallas/Fort Worth to Lexington on a teeny tiny little plane. One seat on one side of the aisle, two seats on the other. One flight attendant. We were in the second to last row -- Row 13.
This is the view up the ENTIRE PLANE. It was, um, not large.
Day 1--5:09 PM--Another Day in this cell going along nothing else to do apart from write on this wall and do nothing.
Day 5--8:59 PM--I've heard rumors that my Apartment has been take another by the GCPD. Which is great! Just fucking great! Now when i escape of this craphole, if i do, i can go nowhere!
Day 9--6:18 PM--I've given up hope on breaking out. I'll just die here in peace.
The Place was quiet. So very quiet. I Looked outside and the guards where noone to be seen. I Knew this was my time to escape. The Firefly will get some action in this war finally! I Grabbed the rock from the floor and bust the door lock open making my door free! I Run. I Keep on running and I Don't look back. I Run towards the storage room and kick the door open. It's so odd how everything is un-guarded. It's like something very big happened. I Take my suit and blast through the roof and just fly fast away from that place. I'm free. And Gotham City is my Playground.
Considering the time line for this project, it's not surprising it took me 2 hours to pick out the buttons (and even longer to figure out how to make a vertical button hole, THANKS MOM ^_^). These are made of shell. I think they pick up the sparkle in the yarn quite nicely.
I have been gone for a long time and this is why :[
Three AP classes, and just tons and tons of homework.
