"Men talk of killing time, while time quietly kills them" ~Dion Boucicault
Image part of series focusing on the "Frozen Moment", an assesment completed for the HSC Intensive Black and White Photography Course at National Art School.
Concept:
It is impossible to freeze a moment, as time is uncontrollable. To attempt to control time is a foolish thought, as it can lead to insanity.
In attempting to kill time, men are chasing after the uncatchable, slowly and unknowingly wasting their life away.
The blurring movement of the face was used to represent the insanity that can occur whilst attempting to capture and control a moment in time.
The clock remains in focus, depicting that time remains constant throughout the various manipulating attempts that man places upon it.
