Kidrobot and The Designer Toy Awards present The DTA Dunny Show. An exhibition of 20" and 8" dunny, hand customized by a select group of aritst.
Artists include:

All proceeds are going to fund the Designer Toy Awards.

I can't tell you how excited and humbled I am for this weeks release at my pals kidrobot. I was honored to be a part of the recent endangered species dunny series which will be available on May 21st at 11am EST. From what I hear they sell out fast. My dunny is the owl with the glow in the dark eyes! I was also lucky enough that kidrobot and I made some apparel with my dunny which is currently available on their site. Did I mention it glows in the dark!!! I will have more info in the coming weeks. The series and apparel will be for sale at kidrobot or visit www.kidrobot.com
This is my latest commission. The client wanted a Munny that was a portrait of her boyfriend who happens to be a heart surgeon. Based on images she gave me this is what I created. The head light does hinge up and down with the working light. The head piece, the glasses, and the shoes are all secured by the use of magnets. Everything comes off the reveal the every day clothes and final portrait beneath.
I would like to thank the Academy, my girlfriend and my BFF for putting up with my scavenger shenanigans, Gidget's Gadgets for my Kidrobot and vinyl fix, and my mom for taking me to see "The Music Man" (live) when I was 10, thereby instilling in me a lifelong desire to be in musical theatre. And to all the friends, family, and strangers who helped me (with both glee and something else entirely), a big thank you. I HAD A BLAST!
P.S. The doll I toss is my original Ginny doll from the 1950s.
At first glance, the next figure to appear was a spitting image of the Jesse Hernandez Series 2010 Dunny but he seemed to be more statuesque than before. Where there once was color had been replaced by stone. Then before I could flinch, his head turned completely around to reveal a 2nd face, one that was the antithesis of the first — soft, kind, literally 2 sides of the same coin.
One year after I got my Gorillaz, Kidrobot cleared their stock by selling this vinyl version for 1/4 the original price, AWWW-CH!

Broken is a baby dragon who wishes to fly with the big dragons, but he is too young and his wings are too small. He knows he is not ready to fly yet, but he is impatient and wants to overcome this obstacle. Recently he attempted to fly with the conviction of his heart, but he fell and broke himself. Broken will try to fly again someday, once his heart is healed.

Finished product, done with posca markers only. Used Krylon crystal clear. This is my first ever munny.
