You're really into the word "hate" lately and use it like a weapon at your sisters and me. We're trying to ignore it but it still stings.
I could perhaps have also titled this one "In the Belly of the Beast". The centrepiece in this playground is a huge climbing apparatus that does indeed look like a giant monster. These children seemed to be having enormous fun negotiating their way across the ropes where they will emerge through the mouth of the dragon. Puff the Magic Dragon?
Hattie: Hello, what are you doing?
Tina: I'm inventing kids. Duh! What does it look like?
Hattie: Perhaps kidnapping to start with. Then unscrupulous handling of minors.
Tina: Pah! My dear child, this is science at its best. Only this little chap didn't fit in the oven. A setback I'll admit.
Hattie: Hm. Oh, that little nipper is getting away.
Tina: Quick! Grab the tongs and get him! He'll fit in there for sure.

She peed through her diaper and soaked her pants then she insisted that she keep playing in just her diaper. it was like 50 degrees out...that didn't last long:)

So many rules now to follow. I hope children everywhere show their wonderful resilience through this!
My neighbours were sent back to Sydney by the police yesterday as it's a holiday house & they had no good reason to be there. They are trying to protect NSW country areas.

an image can tell different stories, depending on who sees it, is this child labor starting early , if you don't see the whole picture you can believe so, but in fact it's a little child who wanted to play with this machine, still too small to make it work, but maybe she will be interested later when she will be older, is the government then going to forbid her to work on this sewingmachne , taking away her dream to create beautiful clothes ???
Oh, how I can hardly wait to spend time with the mountain goats of Colorado ... especially with those adorable kids.
This image was captured last year towards the end of summer so the kids were already quite a bit bigger than I had hoped. This year I hope to get there substantially earlier so that I can photograph them as they are younger ... which often translates to more animated and entertaining. Can't wait.
In the meanwhile, this week's blog post shares this and other images from my last trip out there. If you have a break in your Memorial Day weekend, and feel like reading it, you just have to click the link:
