A view of the Phetchabun Mountain range from the Khao Kho viewpoint.
Wikipedia: Khao Kho is a district (amphoe) of Phetchabun province, northern Thailand. The name of the district comes from Khao Kho, a peak in the Phetchabun Mountains, named either after Livistona speciosa, a kind of palm tree, or after the Ceylon oak. Both species are known as kho (Thai: ค้อ) in Thai and are abundant in the area.
Between 1965 and 1984, this mountainous area was a battleground in the fight between the Thai communist party and the Royal Thai Army.

Second Image from the Series "Under The Stars". This image is not a composite, everything in this image is actual except the STARS! The image is vertical panorama shot of 8 images, taken at Wat Pha Sorn Kaew, Khao Kho - Thailand. This place has it's own vibes that will take you to another world, literally!

This view is looking across the mountains in Phetchabun, Thailand, the road on the right being a long descending highway that seems to go on forever, ears popping all the way down with glorious views on every bend!
Five minutes from the small ledge I'm balanced on whilst taking this shot is the well known Pino Latte coffee shop which opens very conveniently at 7 am just as I'm calling it a day with my camera the rising mist having already burned off and now eager for my first espresso. As I sit contemplating the images on the back of my camera I wonder if any of the many selfie takers visiting the coffee shop at that time realise just how glorious the light is if they had only come 30 minutes earlier!
I've posted a version of this image previously but somehow I didn't quite capture the layers in the way I had hoped for and only realised today that maybe the best way to emphasise this is to simply crop out the darker edges and bleed off the layers within a vertical format.
Thank you for your time as always :)

Goodness gracious me, hello everyone and thank you for the wonderful comments!
It is quite a different feel when you see the clouds coming down and covering up the valleys! Khao Kho is such a place in Thailand where you see the sea of clouds when you wake up! People prefer camping here to see the sunrise behind this "sea of cloud".. It can be seen more at rainy and winter season but not everyday.. We were lucky to get a beautiful view in the evening but it was a clear sunrise.

It is the most enchanting Buddha statue I have seen ever! It blends so well with nature or compliments it! That white colour and behind the mountain's green bluish shade make it fabulous ! A great place to visit, far from the crowd and so serene and peaceful! It was sooo windy when we went there, felt like being pushed.
A Buddhist told me that five statue represent Buddha in different era! The smallest one represent the one for this era as the size of a man is becoming smaller.

Isn't this frame missing a human element? Maybe someone walking towards that mountain or some kids running out of the house. Sometimes some imperfections are good as it makes us more imaginative. In short, art gives you perceptions and freedom.
I happily took my laptop to edit some photos and found the screen is dim even when I increased the brightness to maximum. I can still see it is on and the icons like a shadow. Shhh... No more editing for a while but still can't stop posting :)

A short while ago I posted the far left vertical of a very wide pano taken in Khao Kho which I had never shared before believing it to be a little over saturated and not worth the amount of time needed to put it together, especially as the mist hadn't appeared that morning. Well here's the vertical from the opposite side, the bit that should have been of more interest with the temple in the foreground but with a sky so red it's hard to believe it wasn't manipulated and this is with the saturation reduced!
The view is amazing, the coffee at the nearby coffee shop wonderful and I can only hope I'll get lucky with the mist one day :)
An amazing dawn captured in Khao Kho in the Thai province of Phetchabun last year which never saw the light of day at the time.. terrible pun!
This is a single vertical shot taken as part of a very wide pano and whilst putting it together on Photoshop at the time I felt as if I had just eaten 10 packs of smarties and gave up due to the intense red colour. I love fiery sunrises as much as anyone else but for some odd reason I can't deal with intense reds on my own images.
But then it only occurred to me just now whilst thumbing through my archive that maybe the corner piece might be acceptable with it being slightly less over powering. Note that this final rendition is still one smartie pack less than the original raw file!

It is beautiful to watch the cloud-capped mountains and fog at the valleys. How fast it moves! Photos might not be as great as being there! I just loved to be there doing nothing for a while when my friend took this photo. An awesome coffee shop there at the perfect place with an awesome price, they have a reason though!
It is taken on an iPhone. The photo was good to see in there and may be good enough for Instagram but not for Flickr. That could be the reason some people like me still hang in there and carry a big bag on the shoulder as we are used to enjoying photos in its beauty! But must appreciate the convenience and easy editing they offer..
