The event was an opportunity to hear from and talk to African-American physicians and health care professionals who are leading the way to reduce health disparities in the urban community with dialogue, treatment options and preventative measures for cancer and the co-morbidity of mental health.

The 19th Amendment was originally introduced in Congress in 1878 and in 1919, was submitted to the states for ratification.
