The abandoned train bridge in the Kettle River Provincial Park near Rock Creek, British Columbia.
This bridge was originally built by the Kettle Valley Railway and put into use in 1915. By 1931 the KVR became a subsidiary of the Canadian Pacific Railway. The bridge has wood plank decking and side rails for safety since its inclusion in the rail trail. The trail is part of the
Trans Canada Trail, the world's longest hiking and biking trail.
This looked like an interesting little place! I was hoping that they might give away some free samples, but POP did not appear to be around that day....maybe he has started working for "Kernel" Sanders....

This week's Covid-19 Adventure took us to the McCulloch area of the Central Okanagan Valley and Boundary Country's Christian Valley.
About two months ago I posted a picture of this scene in the early spring when the water level was low and the trees were still dormant. Recently I was back in the area and I took another picture from the same bridge, and as it turns out I prefer this version better. Below is a link to the older version.

Stirring up a fresh batch of kettle corn on a cold evening. There was a fan behind this guy blowing that aroma out into the crowd. We never stood a chance.
Downtown San José, California.
This day (9/29/2020) at the Smith Point Hawk Watch tower in Smith Point, Texas, 22,502 migrating Broad-winged Hawks (Buteo platypterus) were sighted (yes, a count is kept) out of a total of 23,184 including other species of hawks. This was a big day for the hawk watch. It seemed to me that there were as many migrating Anhingas (Anhinga anhinga) circulating on the thermals as Broad-winged Hawks, but only hawk species are counted.
At the tea shop in Deene Hall. Nice place, surrounded by things such as these, as well as a beautiful cooking range.
A welcome break on the rough road to the Racetrack Playa is the stop for the Tea Kettle Junction. In one of those quirky traditions travelers leave tea kettles attached to the sign. Rangers periodically remove kettles when there are too many.

This is a panorama of three photos stitched in Adobe Litghtroom and was taken at Kettle Cove State Park in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.
a snip at £46. What they failed to mention was I'd be staring down the barrel of over £200 worth of deep-tissue massage in the following weeks.
A floatable outhouse(I was later told that it's a bathroom for boaters) that me and my dad found. We spent nearly all day today driving around looking for places to shoot up along the Columbia River. I kind of got a feel for what it's like to be an adventure photographer, exploring the land 24 hours a day.
This was taken at a little bay off the Columbia River near Kettle Falls, Washington.
I have a bunch more photos to edit and upload, but I just chose this one to upload first.
Two days left till we go home, then I'm off to Vegas :)

A View of Kettleness taken from Runswick Bay, North Yorkshire.
Kettleness is a lonely collection of houses high on a clifftop between Runswick Bay and Sandsend, with the Cleveland Way National Trail passing through. The views are magnificent on a good day and the sea air is always 'bracing'!
The instability of the coastal cliffs around here is emphasized by the history of Kettleness. On one December night in 1829, the cliff slumped slowly into the sea taking the entire village with it. Villagers were rescued seawards, by an alum ship anchored offshore. Although alum mining was resumed, the rebuilding of the settlement never achieved its former size.
You can see the cliff top location on a previous photo taken from the same place across the bay www.flickr.com/photos/16714425@N04/48330733141/
