So I got to spend the afternoon in the company of the STILL amazing girl group Bananarama, who are now a duo & have an awesome new album out called "In Stereo" When they did an Interview at the Build Series London studios & I got to meet the girls afterwards..:)

Vanaf het uitkijkplatform Panoramapunkt, direct aan de Potsdamer Platz, heeft u uitzicht op vele verschillende bezienswaardigheden. Vanaf hier kunt u de moderne architectuur en de historische hoogtepunten van de stad zien.
Met de snelste lift van Europa sta je binnen de kortste keren op het uitkijkplatform op de 25e verdieping. In slechts 20 seconden bent u 100 meter boven de Potsdamer Platz. Het Panoramapunkt bevindt zich bovenop de Kollhoff-toren. De televisietoren op het Alexanderplatz, de Berlijnse Dom op het Museumsinsel of het Bundeskanzleramt en de Gedächtniskirche, er is (bijna) niets dat je vanaf hier niet kunt zien.
Het gebouw met de bakstenen gevel werd in 1999 voltooid en maakt deel uit van het Quartier Potsdamer Platz. Bekende buren zijn onder meer de DB Tower en het Sony Center, die beide vanaf het uitkijkplatform te zien zijn. Op de 24e en 25e verdieping van de Kollhoff-torens vindt u het uitkijkplatform, een panoramacafé met een openluchtterras en een tentoonstelling.
The Panoramapunkt viewing platform – directly on Potsdamer Platz – gives you a view of of many different landmarks. From up here you can see modern architecture and historical highlights of the city.
With the fastest elevator in Europe, you’ll be up on the viewing platform on the 25th floor before you know it. In just 20 seconds, you’re 100 metres above Potsdamer Platz. The Panoramapunkt is at the top of the Kollhoff Tower. The TV Tower at Alexanderplatz, the Berlin Cathedral on Museum Island or the Bundeskanzleramt and the Gedächtniskirche, there is (almost) nothing you can’t see from up here.
The building with the brick façade was completed in 1999 and is part of the Quartier Potsdamer Platz. Its famous neighbours include the DB Tower and the Sony Center – both of which can be seen from the viewing platform. On the 24th and 25th floors of the Kollhoff Towers you will find the viewing platform, a panorama café with an open-air terrace sunroof and an exhibition.

Toekomstig museum Blokkendoos 794 wist in de zomer van 2015 nog niets van zijn aankomende status. Als één van de nog 5 inzetbare 9/10G wagens draaide hij nog trouw zijn rondjes op de Lekstraatlijnen 3,7,12 en 14. Hier draait hij de Korte 'sGravesandestraat in op weg naar het toenmalige eindpunt Flevopark. Tegenwoordig rijdt lijn 7 hier rechtdoor ...

Keren, seconde cité d'Erythrée située à 100 km au NW d'Asmara (1400 m d'altitude). Célèbre pour son marché (chameaux, artisanat...) et ses bâtiments, héritages de la période coloniale italienne.
Elle a été le siège d'une célèbre bataille en 1941 entre les Italiens et les Anglais..
Le marché très coloré et actif où les différentes ethnies de la région se rencontrent.

De polder is ontpolderd en wordt gebruikt als overloopgebied waardoor rivier de Nieuwe Merwede bij hoogwater sneller naar zee stromen. Gevolg van de ingrepen is dat de waterstand verder stroomopwaarts zal dalen. Ook de getijden keren terug in het gebied.
National Project Ruimte voor de Rivier (Room for the River) By lowering and moving the dike of the Noordwaard polder the area will become subject to controlled inundation and function as a dedicated water detention district. Houses and farmhouses will be constructed on new dwelling mounds.

The Keren War Cemetery is immaculately presented in what is now an idyllic and peaceful location, with Bougainvillea shrubs abounding. How different it was some seven decades before.......
The town of Keren was the last Italian stronghold in Eritrea and was the scene of the most decisive battle of the war in East Africa, in February and March 1941. Guarding access to the Eritrean Plateau from the western plains through a deep gorge was the only road, bordered by precipitous and well fortified mountains, forming a perfect military strong point. In the region of 23,000 Italian infantrymen were concentrated here, together with a large number of strategically-placed gun and mortar emplacements. After a week of bitter fighting, a preliminary assault by British and Indian troops was repulsed, although a strategic position was taken on Cameron's Ridge, on one side of the pass. The final battle, one month later, saw ten days of gruelling combat and the Commonwealth troops succeeded in striking a wedge in the seemingly impregnable Italian defences on the ridge, and finally through the 200 metre long road block which the Italians had blasted from the rock at the narrowest point in the pass. Keren was taken on 27 March, and the defeated Italian force retreated to Asmara, which fell to Commonwealth forces on 1st April. The Italian surrender was taken at the port of Massawa on 8 April 1941.
