Van Baureihe 611 naar een andere bedreigde reeks motorstellen is maar een kleine stap.

Een jaar geleden spoorden deze motorstellen nog uurlijks tussen Friedrichshafen en Lindau maar sinds december 2016 worden voor de RB-dienst op dit deel van de Bodensee Gürtelbahn meestal Regioshuttles van de reeks 650 gebruikt, wat ongetwijfeld voor mindervalide gebruikers of ouders met kinderkoetsen een enorme verbetering is ... al heb ik ook wel al gelezen dat er soms ook plaatsgebrek heerst.

Gelukkig kwam ik in Mochenwangen op de Südbahn nog dit exemplaar tegen en dat in de warme gloed van de eerste zonnestralen van de dag!

Voor mij trouwens de tweede ontmoeting met dit stel, verleden jaar kon ik het al vereeuwigen tussen de uitrijsignalen van

Enzisweiler.

Yet another species that is becoming rare on German railway lines: DMU Class 628.

A year ago one could see them regularly between Friedrichshafen and Lindau, but nowadays the Deutsche Bahn uses Regioshuttles Class 650 for the RegionalBahn-service between both cities. Lucky for me, I could met this unit in the first sun rays of the day on the Südbahn in Mochenwangen ;-)
