An intense electrical storm rolled over Kelowna, British Columbia last night. People were out with their cameras at the marina going crazy trying to capture the elusive bolt. It's all in the wrist!

7 am on a Sunday morning.

Our shadow from the chair lift. After weeks of clouds and fog the sun has been a very welcome change in weather.

A group of dead trees against the backdrop of the lake.

Sunset in the Okanagan

A winter photo walk along the lake. With temperatures dipping to -17 this week we have a lot of frozen opportunities to photograph. Beautiful and unique these frozen shores gave us some interesting images.

Kelowna sunset at the end of summer. So blessed to call this home.

This is an Iconic landmark in our community of Rutland! Cheap burgers, crispy fries and milkshakes! You cant go wrong with cheap eats at this place! Opened in 1979, this, the second of two locations, survived to be apart of what we call Rutland! Recently under new ownership we hope to see this legendary eatery stand the test of time.

A quad trail that took us to the top of the world with a view to kill.

Polar Bear Dip at Tugboat Beach.

This guy was in a tree just off our deck.

Over the last few years we have developed a love for skiing. My boys and I have seasons passes for the local ski resort and we head up as often as we can. I think I love skiing more for the spectacular views then the actual sport...lol Its so beautiful. A whole different world with only a 45 min drive. So blessed.

Okanagan Valley #sparklinghills #okanaganlakecountry

This theme was well enjoyed as I was able to go for an afternoon walk along the beach with H2O Crew

One Water Street in Kelowna. Currently the tallest tower in Kelowna and B.C (outside the lower mainland)

As of this date this is the largest tower in Kelowna.

One of the most popular beaches in the summer this playground is abandoned as our weather drops below zero.

The longest chair lift at Big White Ski Resort. A blessing and curse depending on the weather. It's a long a beautiful ride when the skies are clear and the wind is calm. However, this chair has the worst weather and more wind closers than any other lift.

The last Supermoon of the year. I missed the first two due to clouds and bad weather. This one showed up with not a cloud in the sky.

Our only pedestrian overpass. This bridge leads from our recreation center to the newish and still being developed "business center". The crane is lit for Xmas and the Tree of Hope is there for all the city to see.

An interesting challenge as I really wanted to have an appropriate subject for the theme. We live so close to vineyards, it seems a very natural fit use grapes for this theme!

This lovely photography ornament was my Christmas gift from my mom, I'm super excited to take it out and give it try!

There is a documentary movie about her also that I watched. www.facebook.com/watch/?v=4876779469059997

Very interesting. She was a nanny for most of her adult life and did mostly street photography. She was a bit of a recluse and a hoarder. She become known after her death. Her negatives were purchased from a storage bin and then later printed and eventually received critical acclaim.

Snow and fog resting in our valley after a long week of very cold temperatures.

An orchard in fall.

This is "Big White". We ski here in the winter. Recently they have opened up in the summer for hiking and soon biking. This is "The Cliff" a black diamond run, the top of the chair lift is on the top right. What a stunning view. Not one I ever plan to see in the winter!

A field of wild flowers in black mountain

Technically I think this is a winner. Having said that this red moon is due to all the smoke in our valley. BC is dealing with hundreds or wildfires and we have been socked in with smoke for the bulk of August. SMOKANAGAN!!!

Whenever there was a rainbow it always seemed to be just at the end of the ally. We would hop on our bikes and ride and ride to only find once we arrived at the end that the rainbow had moved and was still quite a ways in front of us. It never discouraged us that we couldn't find the end, we just kept trying with each new rainbow! Chasing rainbows is my childhood memory for this weeks theme.

I wasn't sure how this would turn out and I got very cold very quickly so this is the best I got. It is much better than I expected and I would like to try this again.

A hike on a hot summer's day to a hidden spot on the creek.

Every day, God reminds me of His goodness through the beauty that surrounds me. In the smallest details, I see the quiet evidence of His love.

I enjoyed a ski date with this lovely gentleman! My friend Denis!

A beautiful theme for the last week of the year. This is one of our light trees we set up for winter decoration.
