These swans migrate through our area (Western Canada) in the winter. They were creating quite the ruckus when I saw them yesterday.

I almost always shoot photos of rustic, often dilapidated fences. But this week I decided to dig into the archives for something to represent the 1% of fences. HFF!
A pier at Bertram Creek Regional Park, Kelowna BC. People goes there to appreciate the scenery of Lake Okanagan, as well as to fish :)

A newly wed couple was seen taking photos, with the bridesmaid standing at a distance ready to offer help if needed. I captured this moment, also at a distance :)

The vineyards looked so stark and somehow unnatural with their light coating of snow. The stakes and wires stood in sharp contrast against the white ground and accentuated the rolling contours of the hillside.
This vineyard was about half way up Mission Hill. I'm not sure though if it belonged to Mission Hill Winery or to another of the 13 or so wineries in this area of Kelowna. In total, Kelowna has about 25 wineries.

It's quite windy that evening as you can tell from the wavy texture of the water surface. More photos to come at this location :)
