The sky stretches out as the shore does too.

A full moon rises above Okanagan Lake with pastel clouds colouring the sky.

Yellows, greens & golds colour the landscape.

These swans migrate through our area (Western Canada) in the winter. They were creating quite the ruckus when I saw them yesterday.

I almost always shoot photos of rustic, often dilapidated fences. But this week I decided to dig into the archives for something to represent the 1% of fences. HFF!

The vineyards looked so stark and somehow unnatural with their light coating of snow. The stakes and wires stood in sharp contrast against the white ground and accentuated the rolling contours of the hillside.

This vineyard was about half way up Mission Hill. I'm not sure though if it belonged to Mission Hill Winery or to another of the 13 or so wineries in this area of Kelowna. In total, Kelowna has about 25 wineries.

Kelowna BC.

It's quite windy that evening as you can tell from the wavy texture of the water surface. More photos to come at this location :)
