In general, I’m Mr. Sunsets. I sleep so late I am unlikely to catch sunrises. Unless I’m up 24 hours. And/Or have an early morning flight. Both are true today.
After a gorgeous full moon night, as the green comet passed Earth, I was blessed to see this vivid red sunrise on climb out from TPA (Tampa International Airport).

This brave little mallard duck was forging ahead out on the frozen Fox River in Batavia, Illinois on this brisk Valentine's Day morning. Temperatures ranged from -4F to +3F, or -20C to -16C using the other arbitrary scale.

With hardly any time between meetings and being awake 30 hours by then, there was no chance to go out for lunch. My preferred lunch item was finished at the hotel, so a surprisingly delicious cheeseburger from room service was the only option.
Not much of a power lunch but enough to keep the taste buds and fat cells of this road warrior going. In my defense, that’s now 2 months I’ve not had a soda. Plus, that’s the only time I’ve had fresh fruits in two consecutive meals! Yes, those are two laptops I’m listening to two separate 1:30 PM conference calls on — about 12 minutes before going on camera in front of my own 200 attendees call at 2 PM. Fortunately, it went great and I didn’t fall asleep live on camera!

I was in Baaastun… I mean, Boston, Massachusetts after literally a dozen years. It was a great successful speaking tour. Rain kept me from re-exploring and revisiting parts of the historic and academically significant city the night I was there.
It took me 12 years to come back here. Then it seemed like it would take 12 years more to get out of it! 😀

Another image I shot from when I went to Birmingham the other day! Thank you to @richjjones for the really good advice and life lessons, I learnt a lot from this day! I hope to shoot more and better composed images in the future. One big thing I took away from that day is that setting your camera aside and exploring your subject is better than just rushing to take the image!

Destination Unknown 2023.1: Up 36 Hours, Ready For City Exploration… But, Rain! - IMRAN™
Can you guess the city? After 36 hours awake and traveling from 80s Florida weather to below freezing north, I was grateful for a very successful day. Then, instead of hitting the bed, I wanted to explore the city I’ve probably not stayed overnight in for a dozen years.
I stepped out of the hotel despite the -1C temperature, only to find a steady rain.
That threw a damper, literally, on my plans to go for a walk. I wanted to cross a bridge I had last walked on in 1990, when I had flown my younger brother to visit me in America. Maybe next time.

In my previous post, the link did not work. I immediately contacted Michelle and she told me that FLICKR canceled her account without warning because she violated the user agreement. I think Flickr did not like her photo stream because she was showing links in every post to her website where she was selling her action.
Please, support the artist and complain to Flickr that if in fact any of us violate the user agreement, to please let us know (warning) before they disable one's account, give the person a chance to correct the appropriate usage. Yahoo literally have made it impossible for Michelle to get back on because it seems like they also blocked the last few IP she logged on.

As part of my wintertime exercise inspiration, I explore the music offered on YouTube. My first source was Pink Floyd. Now I am on a less vigorous kick, and Playing For Change world wide group ensembles are just the thing. I've long respected and enjoyed the music of Robbie Robertson who spearheaded Playing For Change. Here is Keith Richards enjoying himself.
