I've been told the lighting makes you look slimmer :0)
I reall cannot overestimate just how much I have missed Moel Famau during the lockdown, my favourite local stomping ground situated in North Wales UK.
Situated in the Lake District in England, the stunning town of Keswick on the banks of Derwent water.
A spectacular place culturally with an old time feel to it with its many antique shops and traditional crafts and plenty for the outdoor enthusiast on offer too.
This shot was taken on our walk up the 3000 ft mountain of Skiddaw some way up the path to our first summit of "Little Man"

As you can see the river has cuts it's path through the limestone rocks creating dramatic valleys and dales.
We regularly walk from Alstonefield on the far side of the river up to the beauty spot called Gypsy Bank which is on the right of here just out of shot - from there you can walk down the steep hill to river level at Coldeaton Bridge and on to Wolfescote Dale and Beresford Dale.
I've said it many times before but I am totally in awe of Derbyshire and so pleased I moved here in my twenties. Best decision in my life!

So much to upload, so little time..... Apologies if I repost something from Instagram and you've seen it already.
Times have changed and cycling takes up as much free time as I can manage so expect a random selection of pictures from now on but I'll try and make the effort to keep in touch.
If I post and don't come visiting please give me a nudge!
Exercise class in Lloyd Park, Croydon, UK. Some distance off so a cropped telephoto shot and de-hazed as it was quite misty this morning.
It was a nice cool day for a jog.

In the 19th century it became popular to drink the the water from Saint Ragnhilds well and to be cured of some ailments by drinking 25 glasses of water a day and to take cold baths too.
Now the old hospital building belongs to a local school and the spa is a popular hotel and conference centre. Only a few of the original buildings remain.

Anyone who chooses a flickr name which includes 'foot' or 'footlover', or sets up a blog all about feet and uses all the Flickr images in the 'Foot Pool' - (you know who you are!) must daily trawl the 365 pool for new feet shots. I hadn't yet done one, and tend to think it's only babies feet are beautiful. Aaaanyway, I had done some proper boy's push ups (skills!) trying to take a different view of just my feet. It's quite hard to set that up, and take the shot yourself, afterwards I rested my arms, abdomen and thighs, enjoyed the warm light I'd created...and took this selfportrait.
Two weeks ago I completed my second 5km "Park Run" at the JFK Arboretum. It was a bitterly cold morning but 212 people of all ages turned out plus a few doggies! I managed a little more jogging & knocked 5 minutes off my previous time (still quite a slow 43 mins, 40 mins is my goal for the next one) HFF!

(20/365) Welly is trying to keep fit but is finding his new gym equipment quite hard to get to grips with. HWWHDT & HWW!
(256/365) The view from under my umbrella (which I bought at the local donkey sanctuary about 10 years ago). It has been peeing down with rain all day but this afternoon I went for a brisk 2 mile walk up & back down the steep lane opposite my house.
I use the "Mapmyfitness App" to log my walks using the GPS on my iPhone (the map shows your actual route, miles, speed, steps & calories burnt - you can post your results on Facebook, not that anyone is the vaguest bit interested lol)
I'm currently trying to walk at least 5 miles each week to get a bit fitter. I used to walk a lot more but I've become lazy in recent years & I keep make excuses for not going for a walk (eg it's raining) plus I keep stopping to take photos of insects which does not count as exercise! This photo was taken whilst I was actually walking you'll be pleased to hear lol.
(50/365) I set myself a few goals for 2017; lose some weight, get fitter, drink less wine & upload my first selfie to Flickr. This is me just now, safely back in the car after completing the 5km "Tintern Run" around Tintern Abbey grounds. I'm having a "dry February" with no booze at all. That was harder than I expected but I've lost 6lb in less than 3 weeks & don't miss the wine now so it's all good HSS!
