Marrakesh Express
Crosby, Stills & Nash
Looking at the world through the sunset in your eyes
Travelling the train through clear Moroccan skies
Ducks, and pigs, and chickens call
Animal carpet wall-to-wall
American ladies five-foot tall in blue
Sweeping cobwebs from the edges of my mind
Had to get away to see what we could find
Hope the days that lie ahead
Bring us back to where they've led
Listen not to what's been said to you
Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express
Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express
They're taking me to Marrakesh
All aboard the train, all aboard the train
I've been saving all my money just to take you there
I smell the garden in your hair
Take the train from Casablanca going south
Blowing smoke rings from the corners of my mouth, my mouth
Colored cottons hang in the air
Charming cobras in the square
Striped djellebas we can wear at home
Well, let me hear ya now
Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express
Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express
They're taking me to Marrakesh
Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express
Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express
They're taking me to Marrakesh
All on board the train, all on board the train
All on board
The idea was taking a photo "keep calm and take a photo" without writing "take a photo" on it. I hope it looks like that :)
Thanks for everything!
ps: more inside!

A ideia era tirar uma foto "Keep calm and take a photo" sem ter que escrever o "take a photo". Espero que tenha dado certo ;P

...and keep calm.
Based on the 'Keep Calm and Carry on' poster from 1939, i came up with this interpretation for my wall, and then thought that fellow blythe fans might appreciate this too!

I added the keepcalm print on the other wall and cleaned the inside of my desk this morning.
This is my personal little corner. We actually have a much larger office space in our home but we had an empty wall and a new desk that needed a home. Since I only do my minor daily updates and photo editing on this laptop it seemed like the perfect space. I can send all things I need to print over our network and pick it up in the other room. (The home office which my husband tends to occupy/dominate.) All items in this corner are from various market sales, my favourite second-hand shop, and fundraisers. Of course some things are new and have either come from IKEA or à hléns. Tucked away in the top drawers are files, books/notebooks, and various projects. The bottom drawers home my fabrics and other paper goods for gifts and crafting.

Keep Calm and Remember to Breathe
Have you ever had difficulty breathing?
Or do you even remember a time, when you were not breathing? Most probably the answer is no, unless you've had asthma - or have asthma.
Most people don't know what the sensation is like; the fear of your windpipe closing up, the fear of not having enough air, the fear of not getting oxygen to keep going.
The thought of having to rely on an inhaler so you won't have an attack, the reminder that basically you're carrying around something that could save your life. It's an unpleasant, reluctant feeling. That panicky moment when your hands are scrabbling in your bag for your inhaler because you feel like you can't breathe. The short gasps for air escaping from your mouth as your heart rate accelerates exponentially. The knowledge that people's eyes flit and land on you when you're taking a puff on your inhaler; the judgement passed as they automatically jump to ridiculous conclusions; and the sensation that now everyone thinks you're physically weak - they all contribute to the ongoing emotional struggle.
If you haven't guessed by now, I'm an asthmatic - an on/off one, meaning I can go long spans of time without having it, and after a while it appears again. Right now, I'm supposed to be on an inhaler for three times a day. I can feel myself resisting it. Showing any sign of weakness makes me feel overly emotionally exposed to everyone, and I consider this- this medical condition, a weakness. I have managed to bury most of my emotions from public view for so long it's begun to feel normal.. I really don't want to feel fragile in front of anyone.
Olypmic fever is upon us. And after appearing somewhat un-blown-away by the opening MADstravaganza, the Queen enthralled athletes when she showed up at the Olympic village today.
It's the bloody Queen!
After a storm passes there's a rainbowđ as a symbol of Better Days đ to come.
Keep calm and stay safe.

My take on Keep Calm and Carry On. I left out the crown at the top because I'm a crap illustrator. Illustrators: Feel free to copy and adapt. I CC licensed this.
These captivating bald cypress (Taxodium distichum) look prehistoric and are native to the southeastern states. Makes me wonder how this family was transplanted here to the Niles Canyon district of Fremont. These trees are usually knee deep in water, but the drought has taken a toll on this and other natural habitat across the state of California.
