24 Apr 2014 CR KD7 2-8-0 641 (1947 LIMA). This class were built in the USA and sent after WW2 to help rehabilitate the railways and some worked until around 1988.
Another pair of recently purchased sneakers, I like these Nike KD7 sneakers. They are size 7Y, larger than I usually wear, but they fit OK.
These are appropriately (for me) decrepit. The outersoles have come detached at the heel and dangle a little. The heel air pods have gone flat, which I hardly notice.
I considered pulling the outersole off, particularly as I find shoes with the outersoles removed to be more wearable, but I do like the red color scheme, so I'm leaving them intact, at least for the time being.
I'd reattach them to the heel pods, but from previous experience, they are unlikely to stay attached once the pods have gone flat. So I've been wearing them as they are. I do like this style and color.

The crowd goes wild as all 6 remaining members of the A4 class are bought together at the National Railway Museum for the 75th anniversary of the 'Mallard' setting the world speed record for a steam powered train. One of the locos came across from a museum in Canada for the Gathering, one from the US, and the rest from around the UK.
