Perhaps nearly thirty years ago in the middle of winter, we had to travel from southern California to Chicago in order to sort through my uncle’s belongings after his passing. A lifelong bachelor, there was no one other than us to do that. We went through everything, leaving nothing unexamined.
My uncle worked for and retired from Stewart Warner Electronics as an electronics technician. One of the artifacts we found in his apartment was a membership card for IBEW, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
The photo above shows three retired trucks, all Internationals, all workhorses in their day. I suppose that in a way, the three trucks shown form another kind of IBEW, the International Brotherhood of Erstwhile Workhorses! (Haha! Just joking!)

SNCB/NMBS 1604 is zojuist aangekomen in station Luik Guillemins met een trein uit keulen met bestemming Oostende en zal over nekele minuten beginnen aan de beklimming van de helling achter het station, hierbij geholpen door een locomotief aan het einde van de trein. Het station is heden tendage volledig veranderd.

SNCB / NMBS 1604 has just arrived at Liège Guillemins station with a train from Cologne with destination Ostend and will start climbing the slope behind the station in just a few minutes, assisted by a banker locomotive at the end of the train. The station has completely changed today.

EB KB&S grain train is passing through the little town of Templeton, IN , on its way to West Lafayette for interchange with the NS.
Op zondag 5 mei worden de drie gekoppelde SGM treinstellen 2893, 2865 en 2845 afgerangeerd, nadat zij de de supporters van voetbal club Feyenoord naar Utrecht hebben gebracht. Na de wedstrijd Hebben zij de supporters weer naar hun geliefde stad Rotterdam gebracht. Gelukkig had Feyenoord de wedstrijd met 2:3 gewonnen en zullen de treinstellen op de terugweg gespaard zijn gebleven.

On Sunday 5 May, the three coupled SGM trainsets 2893, 2865 and 2845 will be decommissioned after they have brought the supporters of football club Feyenoord to Utrecht. After the match they brought the supporters back to their beloved city of Rotterdam. Fortunately, Feyenoord had won the game with 2:3 and the trains will have been spared on the way back.

NS Mat’54 treinstellen 365 + 770 + 360+ 719 komen vanuit de richting Amersfoort aan op Utrecht CS. Hier zal de trein worden gesplitst en zal een deel richting Den Haag CS rijden, terwijl het andere deel richting Rotterdam CS zal rijden.

Boeing KB-50J Superfortress, Pima Air & Space Museum, Tucson, Arizona. Nikon Z fc with Z 50mm f/1.8 S lens.
Out testing the Nikon Z fc for the first time. Really like it! Enjoyed shooting it a lot. The build quality is quite good, better than expected. I hope Nikon makes some lenses with metal construction like the old AI-S lenses to go along with it. The Df was a good camera in its own way but the Z fc is much more of what I had hoped the Df would be. Full-frame would be nice though!
