One of the residents rescued others in the neighborhood in his boat. He took them to this school, which was about the only structure not completely submerged. They waited on the rooftop until they were rescued.

It baffels the mind as I stopped for this stop sign that the water line was as high as that " stop here" sign

Katrina was our nanny before I began staying home with the kids.

Katrina was known for weeks and days before hitting the coast of the Gulf.

Final for my Photography 2 class... FALL 08

This is just one of 20 images done with 35 mm blk/wht film in a promaster camera.

I followed around and participated in a the Campus Focus ( a college church group) during spring break. We went to several places hit by hurricane Katrina and helped rebuild those neighborhoods.

Drive around neighbourhoods particularly affected by Katrina.

Temporary highway barriers mark street addresses in Bay St. Louis, MS; the vast majority of street signs are simply gone.

This was on our balcony waiting for us when we finally made it back to our apartment after the waters were all gone.
