This is a screen capture from Google Earth showing Kevin & Shelley's house and Kevin's Mom's house that floated from it's original location and ended up against some trees. A Mennonite crew completely dis-assembled the house and rebuilt it in its original location from much of its original material.

The face of a dog

These are pictures I shot while driving though St. Bernard's Parish during the week of April 3rd, 2006. The devastation is beyond words and pictures, and this area has remainded mostly untouched since Katrina.

The 9th Ward of New Orleans in the morning light.

It has been six months since Hurricane Katrina and very little has changed. Most of the homes and businesses are empty of it's residents, and there are no working utilities. It is a modern ghost town.

Katrina's visit to my backyard here in sunny South Florida! This is a scan that was taken with my film camera, a Canon T50.
