To the right, is the destroyed Casino Magic. In front of that originally floated the Grand Casino barge that was washed by Katrina across Hwy 90, crushing an inhabited building. Behind, is the restored and re-opened Isle of Capri Casino. Just to the left of both is the entrance to the destroyed Hwy 90 bridge connecting to Ocean Springs. It was 1/4 rebuilt in April, 2007 when seen here. ( It was opened to traffic in 2008.)
NOTE: The vast space once occupied by Casino Magic and the original Grand is the site of the economy-stalled Margaritaville Casino construction. It was slated to open in 2010 but with no progress for many months in 2008/09 its future is uncertain. If unfinished it would be quite an eyesore on the coast.
Outside the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, P-Rex and his fellow bandmates entertained a number of Hurricane Katrina evacuees and volunteers with Christian Rock/Rap music.

Давняя моя любовь! Сбывшаяся моя мечта!
Большое спасибо Елене и Ольге, замечательным людям которые с такой любовью подобрали тело к прекрасной головушке и продали мне это очаровательное создание :))
This picture was taken from the 3rd story balcony of St. Stanislaus College located next door to Our Lady of the Gulf church in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi on the morning of August 29th, 2005. This is believed to be the initial tidal wave from Hurricane Katrina. The tidal wave was approximately 35 to 40 feet high. When it slammed into the beach front communities of Bay St. Louis and Waveland , Mississippi; it completely destroyed 99% of every structure along the beach for 9 miles and over a mile inland. The destruction only started there. The flooding that continued inland destroyed the contents of all but 35 homes in these two communities of approximately 14,000 people.
