I photographed this preserved electric locomotive of c.1920s vintage outside Karlsruhe HbF. I know nothing of its story and wonder if it’s still there?

Gesehen in Karlsruhe - Seen in Karlsruhe

Citypark, Karlsruhe (Baden-Württemberg, Germany)

The "Indianerbrunnen" is a fountain with a two-faced Native American sculpture, built between 1924 and 1927, located on the central Werderplatz square in the Südstadt district of Karlsruhe.

It conceals a newly planned public restroom facility in 1924, which could not be built completely underground due to the insufficiently deep sewer system and protrudes about one meter from the ground. It serves as a market fountain for Werderplatz. The design by Karlsruhe's city planning director Friedrich Beichel initially envisioned a Native American figure standing above the fountain trough, an allusion to the enthusiasm for Native Americans in the Südstadt district at the time, possibly dating back to a guest appearance by Buffalo Bill in Karlsruhe.

I said goodbye to digital film simulation, which disappointed me more and more with its perfect but smooth surface, and went back to my analog cameras, in this case the wonderful Kodak Retina IIIc.

I kept shuffling around avoiding the blinding reflection in a window.
