The lake Gaatkensplas in all it's beauty with many reflections.
Location: Koedood, Barendrecht, Nederland
One day we went to Dolores where there is a rather new resort, which I first have seen on the internet. It is a resort high in the mountain and very near to Mount Banahaw, a vulcano in the island of Luzon. The resort is called Dels resort. One can really chill and relax here. Can't think of much better things to do than relaxing in a pool with those mountains as a grand view in the background. Then take a little walk through he resort and photograph some leaves, trees and flowers, later on eat something, have a drink and some joy.

description in English, German and Dutch
English:
The surroundings of Lohberg are truly breathtakingly beautiful. During my walk from the Bavarian city Lam to the nice animal park in Lohberg, my eyes were treated to the most beautiful landscapes. The typical Bavarian forests, streams and rolling mountains make an indelible impression on the many tourists in another picturesque part of Germany. The air here in the area is so clean that many places here are known as climatic health resorts. Breathing is really an experience here and people with lung conditions like to come to this part of Bavaria to be able to breathe without medication. Although the street name Am Regen in the Schwarzenbach district suggests otherwise, it was just another dry sunny summer day yesterday, but this aside. In the photo I tried to put everything in the right proportion as far as the composition is concerned.

I've always shown the beauty of Terengganu in my stream but this time courtesy from a dear friend, Patrick, who is a professional diver from one of the islands, who took this photo using the Canon PowerShot A620. Just a 7 Megapixel Digital P&S Camera with underwater housing.
Night dives are popular and divers are often astounded by the amount of species found. As with land animals, many marine creatures are nocturnal, and different underwater species will be on display as darkness falls. Darkness also brings change to the corals: during the day, their polyps are at danger from predators.
P/S: As of yet, I'm sorry I haven't a slightest clue to the name of this species of coral.
Quoting from the legendary Awang Goneng's blog:
I am reminded of the tudung periuk this morning when a thought flashed in my mind, the word mengabang. What is mengabang? No dictionary of Malay that I have contains the word, and Winstedt, who is normally very good at things like that, is completely silent. SOURCE
I'll now try my version of it: Its a body of water which is sourced from the sea or river mouth and flows like a river in parallel whilst being very close to the sea shore. The water is a little saltish. The habitat is a mixture of both worlds.... fresh water and salt water alike.
The natives by the way have often warned me not to go there all by myself, there has been stories of people seing crocs, anacondas and even ghosts mind you.

Youth is not a time of life.
Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, a quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life.
Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite, for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of sixty more than a boy of twenty. Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals.
Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.

On Being Present
3rd December 2007 by Don Iannone
Don’t look back, you’ll only see
A faint, disappearing reality
Your past may beckon, set it free
Things behind you, let them be
Ahead of you, the future lies
Much to come, a surprise
Look ahead, if you will
But careful not, the present kill
Always in the now you are
Dangling even, from afar
Soon enough, the future comes
Now again, it becomes
Time escapes all of us
In between, we are thus
No matter where you are sent
Try your best, be present

I rarely upload flower macros but I feel there's a need to appreciate the flower lovers around me. To my mom whose flowers have been decorating our garden for so many years and not forgetting to my good friends, Virginia and Sharaff, whose flower macro works have always been an inspiration to me.

Sampaloc Lake , Philippines , Happy Fence Friday
HFF
Sampaloc Lake is an inactive vulcanic lake on Luzon in the Philippines and it's the largest of the seven lakes in San Pablo. In the background you see the mountain called St. Cristobal.
Considered one of the prime tourist spots in the city, Sampaloc Lake is dotted with floating restaurants along its shoreline that serve delectable Filipino and Chinese cuisines. It abounds with tilapia, bangus, carp and several species of shrimps. It is presently lined with fish pens and small cottages built on bamboo stilts.
The legend about Sampaloc Lake tells us that it's name comes of a giant tamarind (sampalok) tree in the garden of a selfish stingy old woman who drove away a fairy disguised as an old man asking for some fruit as a cure for his ailing grandson. Instead of yielding to his appeal for help, the stingy old woman had him driven away by her ferocious dogs. The old man was badly hurt.
Hardly an hour after the old man left, there was a thundering noise followed by the cracking of the earth. The next instant the entire orchard sank into a colossal pit which was eventually filled with water. Henceforth, the villagers called it Lake Sampaloc.

Today I went to Lava Cave in Eldborgarhraun between Krísuvík and Herdísarvík, East of Stóru- and Litlu-Eldborgar with my friend Ellert Grétarsson ( Elg) photographer. The reason was to find his case from one of his Flash which he forgot there some days ago. Well to cut a long story short we found it after a short walk into the cave where he was shooting the last time he went in. This Cave was re-found after 170 years and the colors and the Lava groove is really impressive. To view the whole lava cave you have to enter in three separate entrances and each cave is a lot different from the other. It was really worth spending this day with my friend exploring and Documenting.
