A captivating scene of swirling water with chunks of pack ice and the reflection of clouds on the sea in the Arctic Basin offered a constantly changing sequence of elements.

A sublime sunset paints a kaleidoscopic scene at Smerclate, South Uist, Hebrides, Scotland.

I do love the Hebridean coastline for its light, white shell sand and rock formations. Here, an ancient rock called Lewisian gneiss (~3.2 billion years old) forms ripples that project into the sea. These impermeable rocks trap seaweed in small pools where strange bacteria and algae grow. Here you see pink pools, others are white, grey or yellow. There pools, the lichens, sea pink wildflowers all add to the colourful palette.

During the month of July we painted our house after refurbing and painting the barn. This was the last section to paint and required the most ladder work. It only seemed right that I should mark the ending with a slider of sorts. I was soooo glad there was no more ladder!

The diversity of the sea shines in this kaleidoscopic shot with ripples, algae and rocks with reflections from the sun.

The kaleidoscope is an optical toy, where the user sees many beautiful, colourful patterns. It was invented in 1817 by Scottish physicist Sir David Brewster (December 11, 1781 – February 10, 1868). He also invented the binocular camera, the polyzonal lens and the lighthouse illuminator, as well as coming up with an improved version of the stereoscope applied to photography, which was the first portable, 3D viewing device.

The word "kaleidoscope" is derived from the Ancient Greek kalos, "beautiful, beauty", eidos, "that which is seen: form, shape" and skope, "to look to, to examine."

'Fanning Myself' is a kaleidoscopic version of a macro photograph of a gerbera flower. It was processed in Photoshop and Ultra Fractal 6, using the mathematical formula 'Spiral Cut'.

This is my latest version to the Dandy-Ball... Which I used dandelion again, with a few bits of plant leaves placed in a small dish and for the background, I used the back of a small red transistor radio, that seemed to create the effect of a lifebuoy, in the way I positioned the angle of the kaleidoscope front lens!

It appears I must have been (a) ever so slightly bored or (b) feeling a burst of creativity on 3 August 2019 as I went through my bag of magic props to come up with some kind of an abstracty macro. This is some gift wrapping ribbon which I'd bought and put aside for such a day. :-)

This photograph was taken from the Lower Seletar Reservoir Heritage Bridge looking towards the Orchid Country Club prior to sunrise. It was a cloudy and calm dawn, with the reservoir surface offering mirror-like reflections. The kaleidoscopic clouds and colourful reflections provide a wonderful start for the day.

Best wishes for the Easter weekend.

The "Daedalum Luminarium" is a spectacular light and colour experience. This array of inflatable rooms forms at one level a maze, at another a kind of cathedral to colour, as sunlight streams through the coloured opaque plastic. It is an experience thoroughly captivating and enchanting.

This photo montage brings together some of the kaleidoscopic experience. The central geometric pattern (a kind of mandala) is looking at the main domed ceiling of the Luminarium. None of these photos have been altered in any way during processing. The colour is as seen by the camera.

The colors of the sea are not always blue or grey black as reflections of the sun and nearby coasts also have a major influence.

A kaleidoscopic artwork representing a transmitter.

A transmitter can be a separate piece of electronic equipment, or an electrical circuit within another electronic device. A transmitter and a receiver combined in one unit is called a transceiver. The term transmitter is often abbreviated "XMTR" or "TX" in technical documents. The purpose of most transmitters is radio communication of information over a distance.

A captivating scene of swirling water and chunks of pack ice togerter with the reflection of clouds on the sea in Greenland's Arctic Basin offered a constantly contrasting change.

The LRH quarter is the original shot. It was then flipped vertically and horizontally to create this symmetrical design-like image. Taken while we were canoeing in Manning Park, BC.

ENG: Hi, you love out there. You know, it's funny how the landmarks of a city are so referenced. Very few people crossed our path on Friday during my little photo tour with my child.

The special glass façade of the office building called "Cube" at Berlin's central station on Washingtonplatz is on display. The folds and bends of the cube where the surroundings are reflected offers a unique kaleidoscopic highlight. Depending on the incidence of light the appearance changes. This is how the Danish architecture office 3XN was able to build a landmark where many tourists step on Berlin soil for the first time.

We cannot call it my "mind" today.

It's better defined as

a malfunctioning mess

of kaleidoscopic hiccups—

untimed bursts of glitter,

and mismatched shapes.

Curves clash with angles,

overlap, transform, repeat,

until the nonsense makes sense;

until the noise becomes

a soothing hum.

A Kaleidoscopic Odyssey invites on lookers to step into an experience where we challenge where reality ends and imagination begins. Explore the limitless depths of perception with this mesmerizing adaptation of Kaleidoscope of the Senses, 2020. In this installation, there are 2 guiding concepts. The scale of a traditional kaleidoscope is magnified 84 times to a humanscale so participants can inhabit the instrument and become a part of its wonder. Where a kaleidoscope is commonly a closed-loop system, this device is deliberately severed into 2 sculptured equal-and-opposite parts, with purposeful space between them.
