Found by the 5th floor elevator at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center: a magnificent Pat Wipf pastel of a Japanese basket, but here overtaken by a reflection that abstractified her artistry. Pat is a most excellent pastel artist, so if you want to see more of her work (without reflections) go here: www.patwipf.com

The gardener has visited the bamboo patch in this planter and cut it back substantially. It's good to see it managed!
Can you find the bench?
Take a rest and enjoy the garden!

this is a photo i took yesterday of an ad for kaiser permanente on the side of a san francisco MUNI bus using this shot that an ad agency requested for use via flickr / getty images:
it was a complete accident that i happened upon the bus and the driver was on a break so he posed with my image on his bus.
This shot looks towards the back of the room (tent, if you will) at those waiting for a quarter hour after getting their vaccination. The ventilation tubes remind me a crazy cult film that I saw many years ago, “Brazil.” Very avant garde. My friends never forgave me for dragging them to see it with me.

This image proves that vinyl isn’t necessarily final. The vinyl letters are all peeling away and are on their last legs.
