~~~King Ghidorah (キングギドラ, Kingu Gidora), sometimes spelled Ghidrah or Ghidora, is a 'Kaiju', that appears in several films and video games in the Godzilla franchise.
'Kaiju' is a Japanese word that means "strange beast" and is usually translated as "monster" in English. It refers to any sort of strange creature, but especially to giant monsters in Japanese cinema and folklore.
King Ghidorah is a golden-colored dragon. It has three heads on long necks, bat-like wings and two tails. It always stands on two hind legs and has no arms or front legs. Its size varies from incarnation to incarnation. King Ghidorah is Godzilla's nemesis, and one of the strongest Kaiju in the Toho universe. In most films, Godzilla has to team up with other Kaiju before he can defeat King Ghidorah.~~~

King of The Monsters
-LET THEM FIGHT-
I've always wanted to try making Godzilla! This MOC is based on the design from the Monsterverse movies and was super challenging to pull off. There are so many small details and subtleties to his proportions that took a lot of trial and error, but I think I've found a level of accuracy that I'm comfortable with.
The amazing photo editing for these shots was done as always by the wonderful @loaf_builds make sure you check out the other monsters from the collab as well!

Just mucking around with some smaller Pacific Rim ideas. Gypsy Danger didn't bring out the sword in this on screen encounter with Knifehead but these arms look cooler I reckon.
My third beast for the LEGO Kaiju Monster Inspiration series.
I named it VenomTentacle, because he has venomous spikes on his tentacles.

I observed this metallic sweat bee (Agapostemon sp.) and flower longhorn beetle (Typocerus sp.) grappling for space on a thistle bloom. With a little imagination I could see them as two giants battling among the skyscrapers of a bustling metropolis.
Today I'm starting a series of sets highlighting different taxonomic groups. I'll be posting current (past 2 years) images and dipping into the archive to highlight some of the diversity of each group. First group up: bees!
