"Fishing provides that connection with the whole living world. It gives you the opportunity of being totally immersed, turning back into yourself in a good way. A form of meditation, some form of communion with levels of yourself that are deeper than the ordinary self."

Never Let Her Slip Away

Andrew Gold

www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNCx7LDv7Ng&feature=related

I talked to my baby on the telephone, long distance

I never would've guessed I could miss someone so bad, yeah

I really only met her 'bout a week ago

But it doesn't seem to matter to my heart

I know that I love her, I'm hoping that I never recover

'Cause she's good for me

And it would really make me happy

To never let her slip away

Feel like a kid with a teenage crush on a school date

I feel like the lead in 'Romeo and Juliet', yeah

I'm a little bit dizzy, I'm a little bit scared

I guess I never felt this much aware

That I love her, I'm hoping that I'll never recover

'Cause she's good for me

And it would really make me happy

To never let her slip away

I really only met her 'bout a week ago

But it doesn't seem to matter to my heart

I know that I love her, I'm hoping that I never recover

Yeah, she's good to me

And it would really make me happy

To never let her slip away

I love her, I'm thinking that I never recover

Yeah, she's good for me

I know it's gonna make me happy

To never let her slip away

Oh I know it's gonna make me happy

To never let her slip away

Every time a hand reaches out to help another.....that is Christmas.

Every time someone puts anger aside and strives for understanding...that is Christmas.

Every time people forget their differences and realize their love for each other...that is Christmas!

May this Christmas bring us closer to the spirit of human understanding closer to the blessing of peace.

1900 Mogul Locomotive, Heritage Junction Park, Newhall, CA - October 2008

This Mogul Engine 1629 is a class M4 engine weighing 75 tons, with wheels 2-6-0. It was built in Schenectady, New York, in 1900, and purchased by Southern Pacific Railroad for use on the line which ran from Yuma, Arizona to Portland, Oregon, passing through the Santa Clarita Valley.

In 1957, it was retired and sold to Western actor, Gene Autry, who used it in films at his Melody Ranch in Placerita Canyon. It appeared in such television series as "Gunsmoke" and "Wyatt Earp." Autry donated the locomotive in 1981 to the Santa Clarita Valley Historical Society, and it was moved to its present location next to the Saugus Station using donated funds in 1982, where it is being restored as a static display.
