K-2SO and Jyn on the planet Jedha. This scene is from the trailer but not in the final film. Too bad because it looks like it might have been a funny moment between the two characters :-)

I dig this robot design. I really do.

I tried something different here...

K-2SO looks great (and kind of funny) in the trailer, imho. And I love the LEGO version!

A new droid. Never been fully seen here or either on the big screen, yet. This one is K-2SO, sometimes spelled Kaytoo Esso or Kay-Tuesso. It was an enforcer droid originally created for use in the Galactic Empire's armed forces. Nowadays, it's a reprogrammed Imperial security droid loyal to the Alliance.

We've just have to wait and see, whether there's going to be the same lovable factor, like C-3PO, R2-D2 and BB-8 has already.

I'd just had to photograph this new droid from the upcoming movie titled as The Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. even tho, I pretty much don't have a clue about it's personality. This, however, gave me a free hands to try anything with it. This particular model is the Lego version I've acquired some time ago from The Bricklink. That's the eBay of Lego-things! And no, nobody gave me money for this advertisement. I'm just super happy user.

A portrait of K-2SO.

Congratulations. You're being rescued.

Star Wars Rogue One K2SO Contemplating Life

Cracked open my first, Rogue One LEGO set - the U-Wing. While assembling the set I got the idea for this shot and had to drop everything to shoot it.

The set piece is a small, MOC I built for a previous shot. Also, I'm getting a ton of mileage out of this mini Death Star. So glad I scooped it up.

Still counting down the days until Rogue One's premiere. Who's going to be there on day 1 with me?

The find of a lifetime - stuck in a mud trap! Ibana, M'um m'aloo, Togo Togu!

Honestly, Rogue One is my favorite of the new wave of Star Wars, full of interesting new design, ideas and unobtrusive fan-service for the most part. Among the wave of new ships it brought, the U-wing is certainly one the best. I am a bit late to the game, although I have been refining this design since December 2017.

Similarly to my last X-wing, there is also room for some improvement here. The swing wings, for instance, are technically working but currently put way too much stress on too few bricks. This is precarious at best, unfortunately.

Also this could almost qualify as a SHIP. It misses the mark by only 7 studs !

All the gadgets inside K-2SO's head provided ample amount of data and estimates of the thickness and density of the ice. But without actually testing it, one could not be sure. I mean, you know how it is.

K-2SO fell through ice several times that winter.

Woods, not a safe place to walk at this particular time of the year. Not that this guy would pose any danger but you might be startled to see it all of a sudden and, well, laundry might ensue.

Happy Halloween!

Since I showed off Vader yesterday, I figured I'd show some good guys.

Cassian Andor:

“I’m beginning to think that the Force and I have different priorities.”

Cassian was a pretty fun figure to make. I knew from the start that I wanted to make him in the Eadu/Jedha parka, and I'm glad I did. The main attraction with him is this parka, which I first made out of e-tape. Then I added layers of cloth on top of it for the textured pockets and collars as well as the belt. The fur was an idea I got from TheMooseFigs's Penguin, which was using cotton for the fur collar. I glued on a bit of a cotton ball, cut it up, and painted over it so it would harden and I'm quite pleased with it. His belt has a e-tape buckle and some 3D pouches glued on. On one arm, he has some little canisters attached. I made his gloves out of TT glove tops and e-tape.

His face is the LEGO Cassian face with the facial hair darkened, and the hair is a modded hair piece with sculpted bangs.

His pistol is a modified TT M4.

K-2SO:

"And there's a fresh one if you mouth off again."

K-2SO was probably the most fun I have ever had while making a figure, ever. First off I gotta give a shoutout to Dylan again for inspiring me to use ball joints on this guy like how he did his Ultron. K2 started off as a gross looking skeleton made up of droid parts and joints, so I had to do a lot of sculpting on this guy. I know the sculpt isn't completely accurate, but I did what I could do with the ball joints and the skills I have. He was a pain in the ass to make, but I had a lot of fun doing so and I'm glad I could make him pretty poseable. It's kind of hard to tell you what poses I can get him in, so check out my video or my instagram for some of K2's poses.

He's articulated in the knees, legs, shoulders, elbows, and neck.

He doesn't have a weapon yet, but I might make a SE-14c for him in the future.

Jyn Erso:

"I’m not used to people sticking around when things go bad."

For Jyn, I decided to make her in her Jedha outfit since I liked the style of the green jacket underneath her vest. I started off with her vest, and built up and down with cloth from there. The green jacket is a layer of cloth underneath the vest, then all of the pockets and such were glued on top of the vest.

She also has a cloth belt and holster.

Her head is the LEGO head because I felt like it worked, and the hair is a modified piece with the bun and hair sculpted onto the back. Better views of this can be seen in my video.

She's armed with her A180, which is a modified BrickArms Luger with a wider and longer barrel sculpted on.

Also, shoutout to my boi Sander for helping with the editing with the pic.

These guys are some of my favorite figures I have made this year, so please let me know what you guys think!! :)

The Robot K2SO's joint idea is inspired by Aaron :)(@LegoMatic9) and I tried my best to sand it and make this minifigure turn out.Hope you guys like it :)

For me, K-2SO is easily the best part about Rogue One. After seeing the many awesome versions of this droid out there I was inspired to build one myself. (The folks pointing out the K2 influences in this bot got me thinking about it as well.)

I'm pretty happy with how this turned out! The shoulder/hip articulation is below my usual standards but for this build I decided to prioritize the shape and look.

I'm even happier I can stop thinking about it; I've been working on this and obsessing about it for weeks so it's nice to let my mind move onto other things (who else does this?). Of course there are still some areas I'd like to improve (*cough*feet*cough*) but what else is new?

I usually let the pieces do all the talking but in this case I couldn't resist dotting the balljoint with some eyes. I may have to relax my "rules" a bit!

SH Figuarts K2SO captured by the Empire

Gotta love K-2SO. Pretty psyched to have Rogue One at home now to start scouring for more scenes to shoot in LEGO.

Trying a new setup now, and haven't quite nailed it down. I'm using an umbrella to try and control the overhead lights a bit more, but it's... been a little frustrating. Plus, I keep forgetting to shut off my computer monitor, so there is a blue cast (noticable on K2's head). Will keep messing around. Thanks for looking

It is rare to see this thing walking in bright daylight like this. Usually, if you’re very lucky, you’ll see only a silhouette in the shadows, or maybe just the glowing eyes. This is really something!

This is why I carry a camera at all times, it’s like being on a constant birdwatch for rare species.

One point scored!

– They are requesting a call sign.

– Rogue... Rogue One!

Despite the fact that the final trailer for the upcoming «Rogue One: A Star Wars Story» was shown almost a month ago, I felt something was missing to recreate the key frame. And if Cassian Andor can be assembled from improvised parts, K-2SO minifigure could not be replaced by anything.

got the official LEGO K-2SO set awhile back and wasn't particularly happy with the design, and after seeing @mrbolttron 's remake I decided to try and rebuild his, although I decided to change the hands and ended up building my own torso anyway. K2 is supposed to be some badass assassin droid soi took a few shots with some guns just for fun, might try to make him an E11 to hold in the future!

This is an artificial corpse used remotely by Matorans for differents purposes.
