New Tripod
K&F Concept model 2324
My old tripod has been gradually disintegrating for the last few months, so time for a new one.
Seems very sturdy and versatile, and good value at £36
This is the Screaming Yellow Zonker machine that popped out 7101SYZQE toggle switches at rates up to 40+ per minute. Just like printing money. It ran like clockwork for over 25 years. A second copy of this machine was shipped over to the C&K factory in Kettering England.
It was able to do additional options by the time I got on the 2nd shift in 1989. We were able to run 7103s, 7105s and7107s. Z, Q, C, A & AV terminations. The bending was a secondary operation on a small machine adjacent to the 100. It could be changed over in a half an hour to run 8121's as well. Close to 15,000 per shift.
See the detailed information on the Bodine machine in the comments section below.

the joint of the colors and shapes, so nervous, contrast with the quiet of the ground and the back.

Another view of one of the most charismatic aeroplane designs ever - the magnificent Vickers VC-10.
Back in September 2005, their home base at RAF Brize Norton was having runway re-surfacing so No's.10 and 101 Squadron's VC-10 fleet along with the Tristars from 216 Squadron and 99 Squadron's Globemasters re-located to RAF Fairford some 10 miles south-west of Brize.
Here VC-10 K.3 ZD230/K of No.101 Squadron sits on Fairford's western pans before her next tasking.
Along with the other co-located RAF assets, she was joined there by a pair of B-52's from Barksdale AFB in Louisiana plus a pair of Lancers from Dyess, Texas with their accompanying AFRC KC-135R tankers all the way from Grissom AFB, Kokomo, Indiana.
Now with the VC-10 about to be retired, it's rather fitting that I was lucky enough to get this and associated images through the fence at Fairford.
In fact I've been looking for this set for a while and luckily I just rediscovered them by accident.
ZD230 was originally delivered to BOAC as Super VC-10 G-ASGA and after sterling service as an airliner, then as a RAF tanker, she ended her days at RAF St Athan with the nose section last being seen there. Whether it survived I'm not sure - a sad end to a mighty aeroplane.
