Drago is a Dual Purpose K9 certified in narcotic detection and patrol work for the Rhinelander, WI Police Department.

The K-1200 K-MAX "aerial truck" is the world's first helicopter specifically designed, tested and certified for repetitive external lift operations and vertical reference flight, an important feature for external load work. Other rotorcraft used for these tasks are adapted from general-purpose helicopters, or those intended to primarily carry passengers or internal cargo. The aircraft's narrow, wedge-shaped profile gives the pilot an unprecedented view of the load looking out either side of the aircraft.

This salon opened in 2007; it was originally split up into two tenants:

The space to the left (where the "Open sign" and bigger windows are) was originally The Record Store, which opened on October 31st, 1957 and re-located to another space in the center on April 30th, 1959. It became Barr Bros. Jewelers in September 1959, which closed in 1997.

The space to the right (with the shorter windows between brick) was originally a Wellworth Cleaners, which opened on May 3rd, 1956 and re-located to another space in the center in April 1959. It became Loft's Candies in May 1959, which re-located somewhere else in the city in 1969. After the closure Barr Bros. expanded into this space and the two tenants have been joined together as one tenant ever since.

The space became The Clothes Line/Tree Swing Kids consignment shop on August 21st, 1998. It doesn't appear to have had any occupants in the early 2000s, other than BJ's Wholesale Club using the space temporarily in fall 2006 to advertise/sell club memberships prior to their opening that December.

On a dull Thursday afternoon, K-153 slowly pulls away from the station at Cranbourne after pausing at the platform for a safeworking stop. This train is returning from a shool holiday tour to Nyora. The white product between the rails in number two road is either sand from the Australian Glass Manufacturers siding at Lang Lang or superphosphate that may have been loaded here in the yard. A loading bank is located on the left, out of view. The line beyond Cranbourne was closed to all traffic in the 1990's and electric suburban trains commenced running to this location in 1995. 3:29pm, Thursday the 7th of September, 1978.

Kelvingrove is one of the great civic art institutions. Its 22 galleries containe some 8,000 objects, from collections of international significance.

The impressive building, a Spanish Baroque-style palace on the banks of the R_K constructed of Dumfriesshire red sandstone, opened as an art gallery in 1901. It was reopened in July 2006 after a three-year, £28 million major refurbishment and restoration project.

Permanent collections

Kelvingrove containes a vast range of collections, from Egyptian antiquities and European art to furniture, textiles, glass, jewellery, ceramics and metalwork. It has outstanding natural history holdings, and a world class collection of arms and armour.

In terms of paintings, it is particularly strong on Old Masters, French Impressionists, the Dutch Renaissance, Scottish Colourists and members of the Glasgow School of Art.

Unmissable highlights include Salvador DalÍ's Christ of St John of the Cross and Sir Roger the Indian elephant, which was brought to Glasgow around 1900 in a travelling menagerie and has become one of the museum's favourite characters.

Testing the Pentax K-5

A double K - Keith at Kenilworth!!

K-S1 with Samyang 500mm f/6.3 reflector lens on an old Pentax Takumar-A (K-mount, but no SMC coatings) 2x teleconverter. Contrast boosted with Topaz Labs "Clarity".

No digital zoom on this one - that's 1000mm of very average glass! This how we used to do things back in the day. Yeah, they weren't very good then, either. We've been spoiled by digital cropping and small-sensor/high crop factor cameras like the Q adapted to sharp 200mm or 300mm lenses.

What I was trying to do here was see if 20 megapixels and modern software could make up for average glass. Answer: meh.
