I always love spring time, gives us a chance to see the beginning of life from newborn birds and animals to the buds of new flowers. All around new life abounds and fills the air with that fresh new scent of life!

1977 Ft Polk La my second camera.

My first was a Yashica I bought in Korea and it was stolen in 3 days. This started as a hobby but after i had knee surgery they made me a photographer/historian/writer.

Then I got issued an Army camera outfit a Leica M-3 outfit and I was clueless but I managed to figure it out.

After awhile I got issued a Cannon F-1 outfit which was a 50 mm f1.4, 28mm,35mm,135mm and a 200mm, with a strobe.

I took ceremony shots and training pictures, some 5th Division newspaper shots too.

What a job it was. I wrote my own ticket, and when I got out, I joined the National Guard about 9 months later, I was assigned to a company in my city waiting for the Division Photographer spot would open 8 months. I was Disabled out of the NG and went to work in a garage as a mechanic and truck driver, met a guy in a camera store and he said he would hire me when I learned more . So I got a job at the Largest camera business in New England (Underground Camera) and from there on it has been fun.

It takes a lot of energy and convincing myself to actually begin...but once I start, I don't stop. . There's always a beginning and an end to everything. If you want the "end" to come true, action on your part needs to take place. . #juststart #actionsspeaklouderthanwords #noregrets #justbegin #startnow #successquotes

there are nights

when the wolves are silent

and only the moon howls.

Started this last night. It's perfect mindless knitting for relaxing with at the end of the night. And since this is knit in strips I'm finally going to get some seaming practice. I thought this blanket would be a good first seaming project. Eventually I'd like to feel confident to seam up actual garments.
