On the day of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953, my parents took me to Trafalgar Square in London. I was eleven and had a good view of the procession as I was standing on a railing holding on to a lampost.
Today I went out fairly early, took some photos, returned home and pottered about. I did not watch the ceremony on tv.
