Clownfish have adapted to life on the reef by developing a symbiotic relationship with the anemones. Clownfish are small and would be preyed upon by larger fish if they were not living within and protected by the stinging tentacles of the anemone. The clownfish is covered with a specialized mucous that gives it immunity from the sting cells on the host anemone. Safe within the anemone tentacles, the clownfish can feed on planktonic organisms that float by. Clownfish live in small groups inhabiting a single anemone. The group consists of a dominant breeding pair cohabiting with a few non-reproductive adult and juvenile clownfish. They aggressively defend their territory, bullying others away from their host anemone.
-- Clownfish Fun Facts --
‧ Clownfish rarely stray more than a few feet from their host anemone.
‧ The characters in the movie “Finding Nemo” are false percula clownfish.
‧ There are 28 known species of clownfish.
‧ While clownfish are unharmed by the stinging cells of an anemone, they are not immune to jellyfish stings.
‧ Clownfish are up to three and a half inches long.
‧ They most often have color patterns in orange, red or black with white bars or patches.

Mario set out this morning in search of the castle holding the Princess; obstacles were tackled; levels were cleared, secrets were uncovered and in the end, he was told that the Princess is in another castle, sorry...
"How many castles could there be?" Mario says to himself.
As the audience we lower and shake our heads, poor Mario, the castles are endless.

working on putting myself in a better mood. i've been in SUCH the funk lately. i think it has a lot to do with my living situation. i'm so tired of being yelled at. or talked about. or talked down to. stupid comments like "my daughter has an eating disorder". or "what she cooks isn't food" i eat more than most people i know. just because i'm vegan DOES NOT mean i have an eating disorder. i'm over 130 pounds. i could stand to lose a few pounds!!!!!! you would think after 7 years they'd get use to the fact that i don't eat meat or dairy... so annoying.
i'm so over the living situation but for now this is where i have to be. once i start school i can determine if i stay or if i go. for now i just have to let it roll off my back. just treat them like roommates. ignore ignore ignore.
hope everyone is having a fabulous week. i'm off to work - round two. i made zero monies this morning. now i get to go back and pretend to be a manager! :o/

Dory from Disney's Animal Kingdom'd production of Finding Nemo - The Musical! I love this show!!! The music was written by the husband and wife team Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. He was also the composer of Avenue Q, one of my top musicals on Broadway. The Lopez team just won an Oscar for the song "Let it Go" from Frozen!

"Our past actions shaped today. But we are not what we’ve been. We don’t need to carry around labels or mistakes from yesterday as if they define us. Whatever you’ve done, it’s over. It doesn’t have to brand you, particularly not if you’re making the conscious choice to do things differently now.
We can judge ourselves by the weakest moments or the strongest—that’s our choice. Choose to focus on the strongest, and then leverage that pride for more of those moments. Every time you feel good about what you do it’s one more reminder to love who you are."
You already have limits, boundaries, desires and preferences that are givens when you have sex. Think of safety as another piece of that pie.
Let’s say a limit and desire you have is that sex can only happen in ways safe for you. You then present that to partners in a firm, but relaxed way: If sex is going to happen, it needs to be safer.
Someone can say yes to what you need and have sex with you, or they can say no, and that’s fine, but will just mean no sex with you.

Safer Sex After 50
September 21, 2011 by Heather Corinna
msmagazine.com/blog/blog/2011/09/21/safe-sex-after-50/
A new study finds women over 50 want help negotiating safer sex and need better conversations about sex with healthcare providers. This follows reports of increases in STIs amongst those over 45 over the last few years.
Gasp! Women over 50 have sex! And not just inside decades-long marriages! (Figured I’d get that out of the way for those who think this is news.)
So what does sex ed look like after 50? Most older women have heard of sexually transmitted infections and know safer sex can radically reduce the risk of them. The big missing pieces tend to be comfort and assertiveness talking about sex and sexual health. Here are a few tips to get you started:
You already have limits, boundaries, desires and preferences that are givens when you have sex. Think of safety as another piece of that pie. Let’s say a limit and desire you have is that sex can only happen in ways safe for you. You then present that to partners in a firm, but relaxed way: If sex is going to happen, it needs to be safer. Someone can say yes to what you need and have sex with you, or they can say no, and that’s fine, but will just mean no sex with you.
---2).....Being assertive and relaxed about safer sex will tend to get the best reception. For instance, if you slide a condom or glove over as if it’s the most normal thing in the world–and for some of us, it is–a partner is more likely to cheerfully use it than if you’re apologetic and make it sound like you’re asking them to make a great sacrifice (it isn’t) or do something horribly unpleasant (it’s not).
---3).....Get informed. Unfortunately, some healthcare providers can be less than helpful: Like anyone, they may have biases or outdated education, or be twitchy about sex. If the provider you have isn’t serving you or you don’t feel comfortable talking with them, ask for or seek out another. You can get good information on the Internet or in books; Pepper Schwartz and Joan Price are two educators who focus on senior sex.
Our Bodies, Ourselves addresses sexual health for all ages. Independent, women-friendly sex toy stores often offer workshops and classes, too.
---4).....It’s okay to wear water wings. Just because you had some kinds of sex in the past doesn’t mean they’ll be right for you now. If you don’t feel “there yet” with negotiating safer sex, stick to kinds of sex with lower or no STI risks while you learn to swim in this new pool.
---5).....Do you really want a partner who isn’t invested in basic ways of caring for your health and theirs? Some bonuses of being past our teens and twenties are that we’re usually more confident in what we want, more capable of asserting ourselves, more aware that a sexual partner who isn’t a good fit for us is not better than none at all. You want an awesome sexual life, which includes valuing your health. Put that goal in front of fears of rejection or conflict, and you’re much more likely to get it.
Stay tuned for more from Heather, founder and editor of Scarleteen.com, who will be writing regular, candid, feminist sex advice for the Ms. Blog–and not a moment too soon!

"Wish You Were Here" is the ninth studio album by English progressive rock group Pink Floyd, released in September 1975. The album explores themes of absence, the music business, and former band-mate Syd Barrett's mental decline. It was inspired by material the band composed while performing across Europe, and was recorded over numerous sessions at London's Abbey Road Studios. Early sessions were a difficult and arduous process but it was Roger Waters' idea to split the centrepiece track "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" in two, and join each half with three new compositions. "Shine On" was a tribute to Barrett, who, coincidentally, made an impromptu visit to the studio while it was being recorded. The band initially failed to recognise Barrett, who had gained weight and changed in appearance.
As with their previous album, The Dark Side of the Moon, the band made use of studio effects and synthesisers. Roy Harper was a guest vocalist on "Have a Cigar". The album's packaging, again designed by Storm Thorgerson, featured an opaque black sleeve which hid the album artwork. Wish You Were Here was released in September 1975 to instant success; record company EMI was unable to print enough copies to satisfy demand. Although it initially received mixed reviews, the album has since been acclaimed by critics, and appears, in 2012, Wish You Were Here was voted 211th on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time". Band members Richard Wright and David Gilmour have each declared Wish You Were Here their favourite Pink Floyd album.
