justjoshinkids: @alycat0924 it's really not as difficult as it looks. I was intimidated but a few YouTube videos made it seem totally doable. There are so many great paper piece patterns available. It's fun. I'm not quite ready to make my own patterns though.

justjoshinkids: @aeonflux40 I was tempted to buy it all but I prefer to only buy licensed stuff when it's 40% off or more. This was only 25%. 😫 they had a bunch of new awesome Star Wars force awakens fabric too that my nearby Joann doesn't have but I resisted.

lilmunchkinbutt: I was lucky and got it at my local joanns. They must have just opened the bolts. Did you see the 8 bit DK fabric?

I made a little mosaic of fabrics for the #zippedcaseswap or any others who might want inspiration. I'm definitely drawn to modern and fun, with cutesy novelty fabrics more than anything. I love things that are bright, bold and a little out of the ordinary. (I mean look at those shrimps! They're adorable!) Notsomuch into florals or chevrons, anything that looks too old-lady, civil war or I guess too traditional.

justjoshinkids: @soshesews it's not real. It's a roll of bulletin board paper from Joann fabrics that I taped onto foam board and store behind the door when I'm not using it. My actual floor is horribly filthy beige carpet my darling children have completely ruined. 😂

Here's the cute treat bags I made for swap extras. I only had a tiny bit of NBC fabric left so I did one side plain Halloween dots and added the ribbon to both sides. They should hold a decent amount of trick or treat loot. #tburtonswap

justjoshinkids: @lindseyfreshandfit I didn't really use a pattern. I only had a small scrap of NBC fabric so I cut two equal pieces from that and the other Halloween dots then added the accent piece and stitched the ribbon over the Seam. I used those as the guide for a plain purple lining. There are lots of tutorials on basic totes on Pinterest but I've made enough to not really need them. I used cotton webbing for the handles. The size was determined by how much fabric I had left. :)

I got a package today all the way from Brazil! Thank you @elainewmenezes I love my #zippedcaseswap and the fun extras! The case had cute seeing notion buttons and fabrics in the colors of the Brazilian Flag plus some awesome Star Wars flip flops. I love the whole package. I've had so much fun granting wishes this weekend! I have a bunch of stuff ready to ship out tomorrow. Such an amazing movement! I did already make a wish for Polaroid blocks which I've had amazing response. I thought I might add this in if anyone has scraps of Dr Seuss fabric, I have a bunch in a Ziplock bag I've been keeping for a couple years, hoping someday I'll have enough for a whole quilt. At this rate I might have enough for my great grandkids (and my kids are currently 6 years old!) I'd love many different Seuss stories and patterns. I can finally post my complete #nerdscraftitbetter package since it arrived safely today. The tote is @dogundermydesk Out of Time Tote, lined with dictionary fabric. I sent the extra fabric since @kgirardreads was smitten with it when I first posted. (Which I knew meant I made a good choice!) the extras were Dobby-inspired sock bookmarks, Shakepeare's Star Wars and some bookplates. I'm so happy it found a perfect home. Another craft swap. Can't wait to get going on this #aroundtheworldcraftswap I love traveling. Here are some favorites of mine: love East Asia and Japan and Hong Kong specifically. Grew up in mountains and miss them every day here in the flatlands. I'm nuts for maps and passport stamps and flags. My travel bucket list is long but includes Europe and I'd love to road trip Route 66.

Checking this off my to-do list: Cut 56 charm squares for #modernlowvolumecharmswap and get them in the mail. 2 weeks before the deadline? How out of character for me! I can't wait to get the swaps back, I love these low volume texty fabrics. (I *may* have ordered a couple different yards for myself when I got these...)
