This ring, reminiscent of a flower wreath, was designed and handcrafted by a goldsmith couple here in my city who also made our wedding rings. I chose blue topaz as the centre of the blossoms as it's my favourite colour and I wear a lot of blue

Just for fun - I was toooo lazy to use a tripod that Sunday, so it's a bit blurry and noisy - but I just had no time and muse for further attempts ; ))

This is my lucky charm carabiner which is attached to my trecking photo-backpack and is always with me when hiking ; ))

Your are looking at the 1 cm wide screw lock / screw gate of the metallic green aluminium carabiner.

I took this image rather for fun one morning last week (meaning: handheld without tripod, lit with a colour-changing LED light) just to see how the setting would look like ... I kind of liked the somewhat blurry and psychedelic look.

Perfectionism is overrated ; ))

There aren't much autumn colours here yet; most of the trees are still green or already brown. It looks more like a second spring time as it is finally raining after the very long heat and draught during summer.

I was dithering so much this time as I had taken quite some leaf images during the last week (even some with autumn colours); but in the end "bokeh madness" won the race : ))

This is a real circular / swirl ICM of a clover blossom ... taken in the urban gardens in June 2022

I enhanced the colour hues and textures caused by the ICM in Topaz Studio 2 and DxO Analog Efex

We had such lovely sunlight today, so I grabbed my camera with the Laowa 60mm manual macro lens and took some images of the bicoloured (pink and white) heather on my balcony ... doing what I like the best: creating bubbly bokeh : ))

I had a very busy week so far and we will have a guest this weekend ... so I might be a bit slow with commenting these days.

Epiphany (January 6th) in Germany is traditionally the day when most people take down the Christmas tree and put the Christmas decorations back in the boxes.

So one last chance to photograph the Christmas lights (although we use some of the fairy lights all year round).

You are looking through the holes of a flat skimmer ladle onto the blue glitter foam rubber underneath. I focused on the edges of the bokeh until a 3D effect was created and it looked like spheres : ))
