Yes, I understand
Every life must end, uh-uhh
As we sit alone
I know someday we must go, uh-uh-uh-uhh
Oh, I’m a lucky women
To count on both hands the ones I love
Some folks just have one
And others they’ve got none, uh-uhh-uhh
Stay with me
Let’s just breathe

"Vamos soltar o grito do peito
Deixar o coração no jeito

HMM and happy new week!
Thanks for visiting. I am very grateful for the kind comments and faves.
Banksia "Giant Candles", a commercial hybrid of Banksia ericifolia and Banksia spinulosa. This hybrid is characterised by very large inflorescences (flower spikes) (up to 40cm long) that like this one may be curved. Natural hybridisation occurs but the resulting inflorescences are not as large.
One flower in this inflorescence has opened. The style (pistil) of the flower has partially straightened and it extends beyond the other flowers. The orange colour of the flowers is similar to that of Banksia ericifolia but the pink colouration in the style comes from Banksia spinulosa.
The photo is hand-held. I couldn't position my tripod to take it.
Thank you for your visit. I appreciate very much the faves and kind comments which have been left.
Halloween is just around the corner. Absolutely the best time of year in SL.

'That which we call a rose, by any other word would smell as sweet.'
Romeo and Juliet
This rose, Compassion, has an exquisite scent.
I'm thinking of George Orwell planting roses
in his cottage garden in Wallington.
And of Clare of course, so often in my thoughts.

Just upgraded to the Sony A9, and this is the 1st half decent snap i've managed to get.
Unfortunately, it's a camera jpeg, as my Lightroom 5 can't read the raw files
Just Joey, a beautiful rose.
I am not well, even my eye balls hurt !
Some ghastly thing that is doing the rounds.
I hope you have a wonderful Friday
Another image taken at Barr Lake with my good friend Linda. I've posted a similar image but I liked the vignetting on this one the hint of reflections and the lines made by the branches. There's a branch on the left that looks like a snake....it isn't.
For you, kardia mou...
"Here i am - this is me
There's no where else on earth i'd rather be
Here i am - it's just me and you
Tonight we make our dreams come true
It's a new world - it's a new start
It’s alive with the beating of - young hearts
It’s a new day - it's a new plan
I’ve been waiting for you
Here i am
Here we are - we've just begun
And after all this time - our time has come
Yeah, here we are - still goin' strong
Right here in the place where we belong
It's a new world - it's a new start
It’s alive with the beating of - young hearts
It’s a new day - it's a new plan
I’ve been waiting for you
Here i am."
It was late morning and most of the birds had already left Las Gallinas. We spotted a couple of rabbits and as we moved closer one of them hopped away while this one seemed very curious. While we were taking its picture, the rabbit just kept coming closer and closer. The only thing that scared the rabbit away was our dog. He started barking when he caught sight of it and the rabbit very quickly disappeared into the thicket.
A wonderfully peaceful moment, once again captured on Zanzibar. Who wouldn't want to be sailing into the sunset on the beautiful Indian Ocean.
