Le 29 septembre dernier, la sonde Juno, qui étudie principalement Jupiter, a réussi un rarissime survol d'Europe, l'une des plus intéressantes lunes gelées du Système solaire.
Une approche riche en données et en images, avec les meilleures photographies d'Europe depuis la mission Galileo, il y a presque 20 ans.

On September 29, the Juno probe, which mainly studies Jupiter, made an extremely rare flyby of Europa, one of the most interesting frozen moons in the Solar System.
An approach rich in data and images, with the best photographs in Europe since the Galileo mission, almost 20 years ago.

Juno was a regular visitor. I do not usually consider personal pictures to be photography, whatever that mean; however Juno was not our pet, just a visitor that came to stay for a while and the would be on his way. So I suppose that his portrait is valid.

The morning after winter storm Juno, the subways were closed and the streets were pretty deserted in lower manhattan
Jupiter on July 20th. Seeing was above average with average transparency with a humid and hazy sky. The Great Red Spot (GRS) is shown crossing with a lot of turbulence following. The feature known as the "chimney" is shown to be open now. This feature is the bright broken area in the dark ring that surrounds the GRS. The "chimney" is located at the 1 O'clock position above the GRS. Image taken with ZWO ASI174MM camera and Meade 12inch LX200 scope.
It's Mother's Day and mums come in all shapes and forms whether it be human or animal. On this day I celebrate this beautiful girl, Juno. She is the mother of my dog Mac who looks just like her. So to all the human mummas and fur mummas... Happy Mother's Day!
Early science results from NASA’s Juno mission to Jupiter portray the largest planet in our solar system as a complex, gigantic, turbulent world, with Earth-sized polar cyclones, plunging storm systems that travel deep into the heart of the gas giant, and a mammoth, lumpy magnetic field that may indicate it was generated closer to the planet’s surface than previously thought.
This image shows Jupiter’s south pole, as seen by NASA’s Juno spacecraft from an altitude of 32,000 miles (52,000 kilometers). The oval features are cyclones, up to 600 miles (1,000 kilometers) in diameter. Multiple images taken with the JunoCam instrument on three separate orbits were combined to show all areas in daylight, enhanced color, and stereographic projection.
