Juniper Springs is in the Ocala National Florida between Ocala and Ormonde Beach. Pictured here are the swimming springs; they are jammed in summer and deserted in late fall and winter. A nature boardwalk leads to a second springs, Fern Hammock, which is home to a family of otters. A popular canoe/kayak outing is 4.5 miles on the Juniper Creek Run, under fallen logs and waterborne debris with no intermediate access or takeout points.

A recent foray into product photography for good folks at the Western Juniper Alliance.
Juniper is a "problem tree" that has spread widely across the American west, degrading habitat and sucking up scarce water. The Western Juniper Alliance is helping the artisans and entrepreneurs who are harvesting this species and making beautiful and durable product from it.

Junipers planted in previous years have been protected with shelters to help them survivie periods of drought and spring drying winds that have been a feature of the last few years.

Old Juniper bushes on the scree slopes hint at a previous woodland habitat which the Wild Ennerdale partners are trying to restore.
Saw this tree at the local nusery and asked for a discounted price because of the split trunk ,, which secretly I LOVED ,, the owner said since its damaged , just take it ,, cant beat free nusery stock , so I brought it home chopped about 3 foot off the top and decided to strip some bark and give it a deadwood look prelimanary styling,, I think ill give it a year before I decide its final style, Its been about 3 week's since its frst chop and semi styl , and I am still flabbergasted that this tree cost me nothing ,,, Huge thank you to Guthal's Nusery

she looks sad... but it's ok, saffron is on the way to keep you company. ♥ ... I can't even stand this waiting, saffron seriously has -what is now- my favorite color palette for any doll ever! *internal squealing*
They had a large saffron at the store and I was about to get her but then I noticed she had a gash in her head. T_T ...which is probably why she was still sitting there. UGH she's so cute!
One of the things I love about Central Oregon is the sight and smell of juniper. Here's a close-up look at the berries and foliage. Sorry I can't attach the smell, too!

Along the trail up to Shadow Lake in the Ansel Adams Wilderness above Mammoth Lakes in California's High Sierra.
On the mid way to "kharwari baba shrine". for people interested in trekking, this is a 8km trek from ziarat city to the shrine that passes through some thick juniper forest and beautiful scenery.

In an effort to improve rangeland wildlife habitat conditions through the removal of encroaching Wester juniper stands, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) successfully implemented the Trout Springs Prescribed Fire this past September in the Juniper Mountain area of Southwest Idaho. Federal firefighting resources were not the only ones contributing to the burns success however, as the BLM also utilized a seven-person hand crew from the Idaho Conservation Corps (ICC).
The ICC offers a challenging education and job-training experience that helps youth and young adults from diverse backgrounds develop the skills they need to lead full and productive lives. ICC programs focus on education, challenge, community, leadership and empowerment, giving youth critical life skills and confidence through projects such as invasive plant removal, riparian planting, stream restoration, fence construction, trail maintenance and prescribed fire for a variety of federal, state, and local partners.
