A colourful exotic toucan perched on a tree branch with a dark green jungly background.

A young Sri Lankan elephant enjoying a quiet moment with its leafy lunch in the wild. These gentle giants are a subspecies of the Asian elephant, and watching this calf feed was both heartwarming and humbling. Photographed during my journey through Sri Lanka's rich natural landscapes — moments like these are reminders of how precious and vulnerable our wildlife truly is.

It has been a while since I added a transformed image.

This is a mountain lion, also known as puma, and mountain cat.

I added a couple of artistic filters to the original image using Photo Shop PS5, and then converted it to a HDR photo.

And lucky for me this animal was part on an exhibition, so there was no danger here!

If you like more about the mountain lion visit this site it is totally amazing, even has the actual sounds of this incredible felinae:

I enjoy nature photography the most, since I love the outdoors and long hiking trips. Macro photography is a true passion for me, since I get to watch a miniature world that opens without limits, before the camera makes the funny sound…

Graphic design is another way to express myself. I love reinventing a photo that I have seen in different ways.

Textures. I have a few of my own, and love finding and creating them, since they will transform a photo into a totally different one.

Handmade envelope with pictures of tropical animals and plants on a pink background. I made this from a calendar page. Sent to a Postcrossing member in the United States.

A stunning Green Pit Viper (Trimeresurus albolabris) photographed in its natural habitat during a morning hike in Doi Inthanon National Park, Thailand. Perched high in a tree, this venomous yet elusive snake displayed its vivid green scales and characteristic reddish tail tip. An incredible encounter in one of Thailand's most biodiverse regions.

All hand-cut designs I did to use for cupcake toppers for my daughter's birthday party at daycare. The designs were made to match the party supply set.

A heartwarming moment captured in the lush canopy of Sinharaja Rainforest, Sri Lanka. This Purple-faced langur (Semnopithecus vetulus) and her baby were a stunning reminder of the raw beauty and emotional connections in the wild.

Endemic to Sri Lanka and classified as Endangered, these remarkable primates are usually shy and elusive, making this encounter all the more special. Watching the bond between mother and baby langur unfold in their natural habitat was a truly magical experience!

Sinharaja continues to amaze with its diverse wildlife and incredible biodiversity.

For my daughter's birthday party at daycare I purchased vanilla cupcakes with green buttercream frosting and made decorated cookies as toppers to match the plate and treat bag party supplies.

Colocaram os seus "papilon" mais fashion e decidiram partir de viagem!

These brightly colored animals were inspired by the party plates and treat bags you see here. These were for my daughter's daycare party. They were used as toppers for the cupcakes.

12"10"8" all mudcake tiers, all filled and covered in ganache. Weighed 19kg!

Tutin (Glorious Delights) helped me out with the waterfall and standing tree on top.

Had a terrible time with covering bottom tier. The Bakels rtr in the new smaller packaging was way too soft for my liking. It was tearing on me, and that was just by rolling it out! Had some curse words, luckily kids were all asleep :) I think it turned out ok.

Client was very happy when she saw it and said, now she could justify to her family why she paid what she did.

This is the little elephant I made to go with the animal booties I made. I found the pattern in a vintage Woman's Household publication and I changed it in that I sewed the seams with a straight stitch and then blanket stitch rather than turning them.

Ah, when he was still a carefree lad! Before the night patrol nabbed him!

"I have heard many years of telling,

And many years should see some change.

The ball I threw while playing in the park

Has not yet reached the ground."

This monitor lizard was a captivating subject as I got up close to capture its powerful gaze. In the wilds of Bentota, Sri Lanka, reptiles like these are masters of their domain, moving with quiet grace through their environments.

This shot highlights the sharp focus and the intricate textures of the lizard’s eye — a reminder of how every detail in nature can tell an untold story.

Taking this photo gave me a deeper appreciation for the subtleties of reptilian beauty.

All the animals are created from gumpaste and handpainted. I made the molds from various items and created the animals, and then painted them.

Have I ever mentioned how much I adore elephants?

I love this cake....The animals were based on Hugo's invitations, and the overall design inspired by this beautiful cake www.flickr.com/photos/itsacakething/3999790444/ made by It's a cake thing (Jho). The cake was a gluten free chocolate cake.

I love how the giraffe turned out.

My thanks to Sogni di Zucchero / letizia

for help with the neck. I know giraffe's don't technically have spots; this was creative license :).
