Welcoming summer!

After hiking up Old Baldy, we walked on the beach back to the parking lot in Whitefish Dunes State Park.

Cave Point has pretty dramatic views with underwater caves. It was only in the 60’s at the park but was already in the 80’s on the bay side of the lake. Quite the difference!

We stopped at this wayside right before getting to Algoma. It had a great view!

At 93 feet above sea level, this dune is the tallest dune in Whitefish Dunes State Park. We could see a peekaboo glimpse of Lake Michigan to the East and Clark Lake to the West.

While we were in Algoma touring the street art, a car show was going on and I was very excited to see this beauty. The paint job is gorgeous!

He was so excited that it was cool enough today that he could nap in the grass.

This was designed by Yonder Art and the community painted it (paint by number), located in Algoma.

The heat wave draws us indoors.

He has turned into a toddler overnight, often having his own agenda and opinion. I take in every moment I can.

The blooms of the hosta are really not why we grown them as they often take second fiddle to the beautiful foliage. But this is pretty spectacular, as it emerges up through the foliage, dotted with morning dew and light.
