This water plant is very vertical. It is marginal, liking to live in up to three inches of water. It has round pithy stems.
According to Dave's Garden "Juncus" simply means "rush" and "effusus" means "loose."
Eulithis populata found feeding at flowers/fruit of Juncus effusus (presumably infected by a honeydew producing fungus).
