Taken during a late game of a volleyball tournament at work.

This is continuous sequence of his jump shot which spans about three seconds. In those three seconds I had handheld Canon flashes, three of them (one in front of him, one behind, and one on camera) going off 16 times in strobe like bursts to illuminate each phase of his jump. Today we had a nice break from rain and felt like a spring day. I was able to get out with some coworkers and friends and take advantage of it to enjoy some recreational activities.

I missed it. This photo violates all the requirements of a good sports photo but I had to share the tremendous fitness level demonstrated by this player as she attempted a jumpserve. Volleyshots (one of my Facebook friends) got the great sports shot here: www.flickr.com/photos/volleyshots/2579386809/
