Up at the north of Kenya are several lakes, the largest being Lake Naivasha. However, the biggest attractions are at three other smaller lakes, Elementaita, Bogoria and Nakuru.
At the time of our travel, the largest flamingo colony was at Lake Bogoria. I took several hundreds of photos, which is very easy to do with the 1DX in the machine gun mode.
Here is a selection that includes both big picture and close up shots. Some of them look repetitive, of course, but I've tried to pick images with different shapes, colors and textures.
No need to feel compelled to comment on them all – I hope you just enjoy seeing them!

A recent image from the always stunning 6.3 million gallon Ocean Voyager exhibit at the Georgia Aquarium. The large fish is a giant guitarfish, which can reach a length of about 10 feet and a weight of 500 pounds. Thick plexiglass and subdued light always make photography a challenge here, but sometimes you just get lucky.

My chaotic bundle of joy and life. My superdog George.
BTW note those pointed toes! :)
Funny side note, I found this perfectly sized superman cape on men's superman boxers. It was detachable and everything! I told Nick he could have the boxer's but I guess they weren't his style.
The light was already very harsh and the hares were not running that close, but the chase was fantastic.

i want a new title. i hate this one.

my autofocus is effed. and i know a lot of people use manual for self-portraits, but to me its so hard. im half blind so i have a hard time focusing things through a tiny screen. i was sweating and exhausted by the end of this shoot. running back and forth trying to get that damned focus right was not exactly the most fun.
p.s. im thinking ill leave my print giveaway open for one week. ill close it on monday.
