Woohoo! You may have seen some posts I’ve shared about this in my stories already - I’m so excited to share with you that I will be part of @balzerdesigns The Artful Holiday class, starting August 1st.
I can’t even explain how excited, nervous and grateful I was that Julie reached out to me to participate in this class. I’ve done in-attendance workshops, a couple online class/tutorials here and there, but this is my first time ever doing a class in video… showing my face 😬😂
There are 19 different amazing artists/teachers with 31 classes you can take at your own pace. I’m so honored to be among this group! I will be back throughout the month, here, in my newsletter, and on my blog, to share more, so stay tuned.
In the meantime, I have an affiliate link in my profile with more information about the class. My link will also offer you a 15% discount with the code EARLYARTFUL now through August 1st. If you sign up, let me know, it would be so fun to go through the classes together!

I had the opportunity to turn lemons into lemonade today and here's the outcome. I had lunch plans with a dear friend on this bonus day and she cancelled early this morning. (sad face). So I got out my paints and played.
After using the Julie Balzer stencil on my watercolor paper, I flipped it over onto my mixed media paper and made a print with the leftover ink. I love how splotchy and colorful it looks. I only wish more blue was present.

And this shows the original stencil on top, the first print, lower right, and the subsequent print in my sketchbook lower left.

This is the original design made with my Julie Balzer stencil. I am going to write inside of the larger white circles with a fine-tipped pen.
This page is just painted with a stencil - I'll most likely write over or around that text once I get to this page. iwannabemewhenigrowup.blogspot.com/2012/01/art-journal-ev...
