Last year while out photographing blooming flowers in Central California I was listening to a “Christian” radio station where this epicly old man was preaching about how he personally has calculated the return of Christ via the Rapture and subsequent Judgment Day for this coming Saturday, May 21st sometime in the late evening. I turned up the volume so I could hear the 88yo Camping discuss his calculation and how he was absolutely certain that the following May the world will experience an earthquake so large it will divide the earth and split wide open, and then be completely destroyed by Oct. 21st, just before my birthday! Being relatively new to the faith at that point it was interesting to not only listen to his perspective, but to listen to the callers call in and agree with him. All I know is that I have a wedding to shoot on Sunday and the bride and groom are going to be pissed if I can’t finish shooting and editing their wedding photos because Jesus came back, judged me and I was sent directly to Hell.
By the way, if we all wake up on Sunday, you’re welcome to a BBQ at my house.

This very pretty waterfall is located on the outskirts of the city of Shillong, in the state of Meghalaya, in India.

I won't post pictures in the next days as i will leave Berlin for 10 days for a photo job on the beautiful island of Lanzarote. Can't wait to kiss Berlin's muddy snow goodbye :-)
See you all next month, i'll try to bring the sun home with me

The fire burned through about a third of the park about 20 years ago. There are still several areas where all the trees stand alone like charred corpses under the burning sun.
Regulars get tired of the following daily message, but if I remove it, then I keep getting the same kinda emails: This is from My Tutorial right here - I have over 17,000 unread emails - sorry but I am too swamped - but most of you ask for that tutorial, so there it is! :)

The pier at the edge of Sanibel Island in Florida is a magical place. From there you can see the sun and the moon rise and set, while gulls fly around and above you, and pelicans play at your feet.
The azure waters surrounding the pier are lovely to look at and listen to, as they gently splash on to the sandy beaches, replete with more shells on them than any other beach I have ever seen. And how can you forget the charming lighthouse on the hillock behind you!

Tu tu tu tu tu tu tu tu tu...
Okay, so the world didn’t Rapture and the earth didn’t get destroyed, but it was interesting to watch 89yo Harold Camping backtrack his prediction that the world would end on May 21st by saying he was “flabbergasted” that it didn’t happen. Now it appears the magical date is Oct. 21st. But I’m guessing no one will take him seriously anymore. This includes the lovely bride & groom I had the opportunity to photograph this past weekend. They weren’t the least bit concerned that their reception was to start at 6pm exactly at the point of rapture. So much so that I made them this little sign to hold to show them that their love is stronger than the end of the world.
Taken around 6pm on Saturday. Their world was just starting.

"Come with me if you want to live"
Another fun little build ; )
Head is custom printed for me, you won't find it in Light flesh usually.
Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
