This unique seat post was manufactured by JPR, a company run by Jean-Paul Routens. J P Routens is the son of Jo Routens, one of the most respected French constructors of the golden age. What makes this post unusual is the two-bolt clamp mechanism is upside-down, with the top fixed and the bottom movable. The advantage of this inverse design is that the adjuster bolt is easily accessible.
