Another image from our shoot with Meriç, a non - model, but she might have that "dramatic posing" inside. I always find it joyfull to use the " behind the window " concept, it can realy save the day.

The image was taken with high ISO, as she was inside and outside was not so bright any more, thats why the image is pale. But I like it that way; the paleness somehow fit with the Mood.

Ninoska, a young cheerful lady from Dominic Republic. it was really an honour and different experience to have a shoot with her. Showing all symptoms of a latin american, Ninoska, is a joyfull, childish, funny model. As it was my first experience with someone from a culture outslde europe, it was a challenging experiment. Trying to get something out from her, with being so cute and a, gorgeous body, according my style, was not so easy...

Well my friends I bet you must be wondering where I've got to. Thankfully I'm still on the planet. Truth is I've become heavily involved with a local conservation trust and spend a lot of my spare time doing research photography on the coast shooting mostly porpoise, dolphin, whale when sighted and other marine creatures. Mostly it involves capturing fin detail for future identification and proof of population residency in the local area. Sometimes though you just can't help capturing the joyfullness of these wonderful creatures. The following images are some I took lately with a couple of the sort of identifying shots in there as well. I'm also posting on the trusts blog at whaleswales.blogspot.co.uk/

Joyfull Christmas and Happy Holidays !!

I am afraid I have gone off Flickr for the summer. As a farmer am I unable to find time to follow up Flickr the way I like, and the way it should be done. So I use to have a break from about Easter to mid Sep.

I just looked in to be updated on one Flickr friend that is in a very interesting prosess at the moment. I see many of you still comment and fave my photos. It is very much appreciated, and kind of you, but I am sadly not looking in very often, and will not be able to see it, nor respond. Nor am I able to visit your streams.

We have no snow, the first lambs have arrived, the fire wood is cut, split and drying in large bags, the first manure have been spread, the yearlings will be let out in the weekend, and all the rest of the busy spring work is readdy to start. It is a stressful, yet joyfull, time of year. This is the work that lay the ground for crops and income later.

I wish you all a great summer, or winter for my dear friends down under, and see you all in autumn.

With the first light on the lake, also the swans woke up. At -6 ° a moment of happiness, because I was surprised to find them and then in such a crowd... as soon as the first rays of sunlight touched the water, they flew into their day and not one remained behind.

These are the pickings of a Joyfull Queensday in Amsterdam, a nice Parker "51 set with 12 karat gold caps, a massive horn tip a small interchangeable screwdriver and a plane blade from Ulmia.

We start the new year with a little snow and cold weather. The snow is fine with me, but the older I get the less I like the cold over time. Frozen roundbales, dead batteries on the tractors, risk of frozen water pipes in the less used parts of the barn and so on.

There is much more work and risk of troubble when the cold lasts for weeks as it looks like it shall now.

But that is how it is to live here, and it is ok. It is just a tad annoying when you are in hurry to bring home roundbales and the tractor need a 20 minutes battery charge and a heater fan to heat the engine before you can start.

Varg on the other hand LOVES it. It is perfect for a Malamute. So today we went up to te glacier and had a walk around. Well, I walked, he mostly ran joyfull around in the snow.

The sun will be back here in a few days, today we could just about see it for a few minutes as you see in this photo. Down where we live we have the sun for some 40 minutes right now. It doesn't warm up much during the day by that!

There is a LOAD of photos and a couple of short videos in the first comment. But first a couple of photos taken at the annual Christmas party of Fjaerland ungdomslag. That is the party where the idea to the calendar came last year. We got a prize for being the local branch with the most and widest range of activities last year (2023) And that was before we produced the calendar!

The truth is that I don't know much about country music. What I did find out recently is that Nashville, Tennessee is considered the "country music capital of the world". Country is a genre of popular music that originated in the Southern States in the early 1920s and it basically is a mix of blues and folk music. Nashville is something like the epicenter of this genre of music as it has the Country Music Hall of Fame, a museum and and annual 4 day Country Music festival. Aside from that, Nashville's main road, Broadway street, is full of bars and pubs that someone can go, have a beer (or bourbon) and enjoy live country music.

And since this is a window of a bar, HCMWW!

Η αληθεια ειναι οτι δεν ξερω και παρα πολλα για την Country μουσικη. Αυτο που εμαθα προσφατα ομως ειναι οτι το Nashville της πολιτειας του Tennessee θεωρείται η "Πρωτευουσα της Country Μουσικης". H country ειναι ενα ειδος δημοφιλους μουσικης το οποιο ξεκινησε απο τις Νοτιες Πολιτειες των ΗΠΑ κατα τη δεκαετια του 1920 και επι της ουσιας αποτελει ενα κραμα μπλουζ και ντοπιας φολκ μουσικης. Το Nashville λοιπον θεωρειται το επικεντρο αυτου του ειδους της μουσικης, ισως και δικαιωματικα καθως εκει βρισκεται το Hall of Fame της Country μουσικης, το σχετικο μουσειο ενω στην πολη λαμβανει χωρα και ενα ετησιο 4ημερο φεστιβαλ country μουσικης.
