I had fun doing Janel's 30 Day Journal Challenge so I signed up for her next class called "Journaling for a Cause"
Well they are way into the class and I am so behind. I've been so busy lately that I'm behind on a lot of things.
This is the first journal prompt and my cover for the journal that I'll be doing the prompts in.
Here's the prompt:
Journal Prompt One: Since today is the first day of the class, I wanted to start our journals with a "Welcome" page. I want you to include a little blurb with five adjectives explaining your life right now as well. So, it will go something like this:
Welcome to my ______,______,_______,_______, ______ life.
This will be a nice little intro for our journal :)
I could only think of Four.

Journal Prompt Number 6:
It's time...
It's definitely time to do something. It may be a new season for you in your life, or a time to make some goals, or it may just be time to relax (because it's Saturday right?).
Draw something that represents the word time and then make a list of things that you need to do at this time in your life, or day, or week :)

Journal Prompt 23: Today I want you to fill an entire page in your journal with one of the elements of art. As an art teacher, I have to talk about all of the elements of art...daily.
Here they are:
1. Line
2. Color
3. Shape
4. Space
5. Texture
6. Form
I think this sort of has all of them in it.
I decided to do something a little different today. I used a journal prompt from my sweet friend, Zura, (you can find the blog post here: www.creativeclown.com/imagine-a-woman-2/
So I found a cool image in one of my Dover Publications clip art books (got in a swap on Nervousness) used tissue paper that was wrapped around some pears I bought today at the market, gold foil from a chocolate bar Hayden and I split and an image from a Yugi-Oh! card (Blue eyes white dragon, I think!). I smooshed about 3 layers of tissue paper on the pages with gel medium, pasted the images and foil on with more gel medium, painted the tissues with shimmering acrylic paint (just the cheap stuff!) and played around with the liquid wax my Mum gave me for my birthday (Thanks Mum!). I want everything to be good and dry before I do some journaling and lettering on it. I'm really digging how it turned out. Thanks for the prompt Zura!! xoxoxo
I attended the American Cancer Society South Louisiana Relay for Life in Slidell, on 28APR2012. This is a very moving event, very touching and emotional for me. I had cervical cancer several years ago, and I was lucky enough that it was found between pre cancerous and cancerous. A simple, albiet painful, office procedure and I am cancer free. It has been 5 years as of Dec2011. Purple is the color for general cancer and to represent cancer survivors. It is also the primary color for the Relay for Life event. Journal Prompt 22: Today I want to know what your favorite holiday is!! There are soooo many holidays out there and the cool thing is that they differ depending on where you live, your family, and your religion. Teach me all about your favorite holiday and why it's your favorite :)
I love love love Halloween. Fall is my favorite time of year. I'm really wishing fall was here now cause I am not a fan of summer.

This is my first attempt at a Journal Prompt form: ptrish40-zekesden.blogspot.com/ I am not sure If I did it right, but this is what felt good to me. I listed 3 major factors in my downs, and 2 of my calming factors. As listed Some days you are the bug and some days you are the windshield.

Journal Prompt 24: What is your most favorite place in the world? Is it a country, a town, a room, a secret place that no one else knows about? I know you have one, I want to see it!!
My favorite place in the world is the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. I LOVE it so much and I hope I can live there one day :)
